Shaurya Smarak Bhopal

Being in Bhopal for a friend's wedding, I also searched for some of the best tourist places in the city to visit, and this was one at the top of the list.

The garden cum museum is located right on the same road as the Birla Temple and Museum. As you enter, it is a massive garden with various installations on each side related to the country's Armed Forces. There are also beautiful flower beds across the garden. At one end, there is a massive statue of Mother India holding the national flag along with our national anthem and national song written on each side at the base. Beyond that, there is also a huge open-air theatre.

Once you move to the center, there is an entry point to the museum, which is actually built below the ground. The only point to note here is you would need to take an INR 50 ticket for a photography pass. The bad part is that I wonder if this went into the guard's pockets as no slip was given, and these guys only accept cash and no digital mode of payment.

The museum below is one of the finest war and army museums I have ever visited. It covers everything right from the valor of our kings to statements of our freedom fighters as you enter the ramp. Once you are inside, the first thing you see is the posters of all the presidents of Bharat as the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. Then, you also have details of the chief of all the 3 armed forces mentioned along with their tenure. Inside, you can see various installations, such as a mock bunker, for people to understand what they are and how they are essential during a war. At one point, a room was known as Siachen the museum's highlight. The moment you step inside, you can feel the chill biting into your skin, giving you a first-hand view of how temperatures might be at Siachen.

From there, an entire hall contains photos and stories of all our heroes of the armed forces who have displayed exceptional bravery on the battlefields and were awarded the prestigious Paramvir or Mahavir Chakras. The stories are detailed, and reading them makes you feel proud. A central cubicle also shows all the medals given in various situations. Further, at the end of the museum are miniature models of our warships, destroyers, and submarines, along with a model of an air base and machine guns installed for desert warfare. Finally, when you come out into the garden, there is a big installation with a Digital flame burning all the time in front of it. There are also boards with the names of all our soldiers who have made the supreme sacrifice to defend the nation.

The museum is a must-visit place that gives never-before-seen information about our armed forces in an entirely realistic portrayal.

This is very nice place , its fully to feel natural . This place was made for the great memory of our soldiers. Here show the all category of soldiers. Like Indian Army , Air force, and Indian Navey.

Very good place for morning walk and very beautiful garden 🏡 If you travel to Bhopal visit it..Students can come here and know about the glory of the army and get knowledge about it. Shaurya smark is a must visit place.. it is a place for the people of each age group.. but I highly recommend students to go and visit this place.. the entry charges are very nominal... I also suggest you to visit this place with some extra time and take the audio guide and listen and understand each and every thing properly.. you will definitely feel so proud, enthusiastic and full of energy after the visit... It has one freeze room also..where the temperature was around -7 degree Celsius.. it has a number of selfie spots too... Go visit this place...have fun ..

Shaurya Smarak is a war memorial. 62 Feet sculpture rising from ground to sky called Shaurya Stambh which is dedicated to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force. There is also a museum here which gives a feel of the real life and hard work of the armies. In one Room Siachen Glacier is also displayed in museum, from the coldness of which we can find out how cold it is in Siachen Glacier..

Good place for a day out with family. You will get touched by the glory of our past and the might of our armed forces. Salute to all martyrs and their families. Jai Hind!

Must visit place in bhopal with war museum with information of the Army, Navy and Airforce. You will also experience the siachin bsf in cold room. Ticket price is Rs.20 if you want photography in museum then charges are Rs.50.

Great experience to know about the country’s war timings .. This place is good to spend leisure time and for evening walk. This is closed on every Wednesday and its timing for rest of the days are between 9:00 Am to 7:00 Pm. The museum for defence forces are really fabulous, in which all the names of regiments are presented with insignia. Photography is prohibited inside the museum for security purposes... The open auditorium with good seating arrangement shows the screen films of defence forces and the other recruitment processes.This place having minimum entry fees of Rs 20/- only..

The museum below has heart rendering writings, statues are a work of art which look real.Very good place to visit in Bhopal. It's very much clean and well maintained. This place is mostly based on army. Perfect place for students to visit as they can gain knowledge about army. There is a museum where there is pictures of Kargil war 1999, India-Pakistan partion,etc. There is a small cafe also where you can eat your meal. There are many branches so you can sit anywhere. You will also get washrooms and drinking water here. Ticket for 1 person costs Rs.20. There are separate parking for 2 wheelers and 4 wheelers so there is no issue of parking. Located in Arera Hills behind DB Mall. Will look forward for next visit...

Such a great place at the heart of the city which is at the center of the country. Shaurya Smarak is a wonderful place to take your kids to, to encourage patriotic feelings or encourage them to join armed forces. If nothing else, it gives a great history lesson that there were other freedom fighters apart from Gandhi-Nehru.

Plus details about presidents, chiefs of army, navy and air force staff was also valuable. Must visit place.

It's about the War Museum which is located nearby the famously known Danik Bhaskar MALL in Short DB CITY MALL.
I'm writing this review because I visit there oftentimes, this place is fabulous its the place known for defence sector memories or collections of Indian defence victory or medals etc. This place is located in the centre of Bhopal.
Which has the various victory of war inside the museum.
Speaking frankly I'd love to visit here with friends while any special day or you can say on an occasion because the place is full of children or families, youth etc. You can prefer to go there on any occasion.

It's The biggest war-museum in Bhopal so you can prefer to visit there.
They have canteens and a variety of fast food but it's a bit expensive because it's located inside the
शौर्य स्मारक. I don't know, about food taste.

This place has set the entry fees of 10 ₹ rupees and if you want to click photos inside the शौर्य स्मारक then you have to pay the 50 ₹ rupees at the main entry gate of museum for a photo pass which is only for one person each, and you will not be allowed to shoot or make a video inside the शौर्य स्मारक you will be only allowed to click photos as  many as you want.
This place is a decent straight wonderful place to visit regardless of age you will have fun 🎢 .
This place, they have maintained the top-level cleaning and each corner has enough staff around which help to manage things.
They have rose garden all around the park inside the शौर्य स्मारक.
They have good seating arrangement or standing point and many more facilities are available that's incredible.

This place is a must visit place for the defense enthusiasts and the folks who love this country and the people who died protecting it. The infrastructure is good and the Smarak is totally inspiring. There are names of martyrs of Bhopal and Madhya Pradesh. The gun along with helmets and the boots are so lovely that it can inspire many persons visiting this place. The place is well organized and the war zone shown in the park is also pretty awesome. There is a museum in the park also which have got many new things which a person can learn about defense. Over all must visit place for defense lover especially for the candidates appearing for S. S. B. In Bhopal.

It is a good place to visit in Bhopal. It is a beautiful place to enjoy with friends and family. You can visit alone if you are a traveller.
