Taj Cape Town

During our two-week stay at the Taj Hotel in Cape Town, my family and I had an exceptionally pleasant experience, largely due to the outstanding staff. Their belief that the customer is king is truly brought to life through their genuine friendliness and interest in the guests. They always go that extra mile to make the stay memorable. For instance, Mervin always makes time for a chat, making him very likable. Frank, the manager, regularly checks in to see how we are doing, and Felicia, along with the rest of the team, ensures my daughter receives plenty of attention.

A minor issue we encountered at The Mint, one of the hotel's restaurants, was expertly resolved by Elton, demonstrating the staff's dedication. For fans of Indian cuisine, we recommend the Bombay restaurant (not The Mint) , also located within the hotel, for an authentic culinary experience.

A potential area for improvement for the hotel would be to offer more activities for children besides the swimming pool. Nevertheless, the staff's attention ensured my daughter had a great time. Another point of attention is the hotel's Indian breakfast, which lacks variety and sometimes falls short in replenishment.

We would like to thank everyone at the Taj Hotel for their unparalleled help and hospitality. The stay was undoubtedly a unique and memorable experience.

Our stay at Taj Cape Town was absolutely remarkable! From the moment we stepped foot into the hotel, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality by the friendly staff, who went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our stay was perfect. Their genuine care and attentiveness made us feel truly valued and welcomed throughout our time at the hotel.

The breakfast at Taj Cape Town was a true culinary delight, offering a wide array of delicious options to start our day off right. From fresh fruits and pastries to hearty hot dishes, there was something for everyone to enjoy. The quality of the food and the impeccable service made each breakfast an enjoyable experience.

One of the highlights of our stay was the incredible views of Table Mountain from our room. Waking up to such a breathtaking sight each morning was truly unforgettable and added an extra layer of magic to our Cape Town experience. It was a constant reminder of the beauty and majesty of the natural landscape surrounding the city.

Overall, our experience at Taj Cape Town was nothing short of exceptional. From the friendliness of the staff to the delicious breakfast and the incredible views from our room, every aspect of our stay exceeded our expectations. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough to anyone visiting Cape Town!

Friendly hotel staff, room was great and food was great too. And the small touches like soft toy for my kid is well appreciated.

Excellent experience. Big fan of Taj hotels and were pleased to find a similar standard in Cape Town. Our one bedroom suite was beautifully decorated and maintained. The Taj club lounge offered as part of the suite booking provided quality drinks and canapes. Breakfast excellent, all set in a beautiful building. By Taj standards the rate we paid was excellent value for money

We loved our experience at Taj Cape Town. There was a thoughtful set of organic baby products and a little penguin stuffy for our baby, with the crib all prepped when we arrived. The breakfast spread was expansive & absolutely delicious! Rooms were spacious and well designed. Great location as well.

Cosy, comfortable and stylish rooms. Good ambience and lots of space. They have an amazing breakfast selection, I highly recommend trying the eggs benedict. The hotel has a beautiful spa, treat yourself to an hour full body massage, it's luxury and comfort. Beautiful overall experience and lovely staff.

Me and my wife stayed here for 3 nights during our honeymoon. The hotel is luxurious, elegant and dead center in the middle of Cape Town. The staff make you feel right at home. They excelled in the details, like leaving a bottle of wine and a personalized welcome note in our room. The concierge recommended the most amazing restaurant for us when we weren't sure where to eat, and helped us book some of our activities. We don't usually stay at luxurious places like this but I am so happy we did this time. Besides, the price we got from them directly was not that bad after some negotiation via email, where they matched prices given by third party booking sites.

I spent about three days here, and my family and I had a great time. Immediately the staff was helpful got our bags and were genuinely nice. The prices are too cheap for the quality of service they provide. The food was extremely good, especially the continental breakfast. There is a gym and a pool, that is rarely ever crowded. Also if possible, please enjoy the spa while you are there great staff, even better care. I wish I could personally thank each of the staff one more time. Thank you for a great end to a great vacation.

Nice classic restaurant within walking distance to Bo-Kaap. We had a room with a view of Table Mountain. Nice clean rooms. This Indian hotel chain, so there are items from Indian cuisine for breakfast. Unfortunately, this hotel did not have the best breakfast. There are different places nearby, I think you can have a tastier meal there, if it is important to you

Great and luxurious hotel with a great location, fantastic service and lovely breakfast. A big thank you to the receptionist who understood that it was our anniversary and made it a little extra special for us, and to the concierge who managed to get a table at the city's, and perhaps Africa's best restaurant FYN on a short notice. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful hotel in Cape Town Centre near Waterfront (but not inside it). Lovely interior and spa facilities. The staff were welcoming and attentive. Loved the breakfast buffet and restaurant. Would recommend.

We had a wonderful stay in the executive suite of the Taj Cape Town. The room was beautifully designed, offering great value. Our suite featured a spacious kitchen equipped with essential appliances like a washer, dryer, dishwasher, stove, and a large refrigerator. The living space had a cozy couch by the TV, and the bathroom was sizable, complete with dual sinks and both a tub and a separate shower. Cleanliness and quality were top-notch throughout.

The service we received was exceptional. From complimentary valet service at our arrival, swift luggage handling, to being greeted with refreshing towels and a drink upon check-in – it all added to our experience. A staff member even gave us a tour and escorted us to our room. We also enjoyed the hotel's pool and spa facilities.

Apart from well appointed rooms with great view, good breakfast, fantastic restaurant (Bombay Brasserie) great service and fantastic location of the hotel, I would like to mention the great concierge service of the hotel. Jade, Drek and one another (my sincere apologies to him on forgetting his name) helped us so much to make this trip memorable, warmly, promptly, cost effectively and ensured smooth experience everywhere. We are really thankful to them.

Arrived on Thursday 1st February to find our holiday agent had booked our hotel stay in the wrong month.We would like to thank reception staff and manager for finding us a stunning room and letting us in early after a stressful time getting off a NCL cruise ship. The room,staff and food were fantastic. Thank you.

The Taj is real "Old World" luxury at very reasonable rates for what you get. The SPA is amazing. If it's about time spending away from home in the city, then this is the place for walks to city meetings, a walk through the Company gardens etc. It's central and close to everything worth seeing in CT.

The most beautiful hotel,super friendly and helpful staff,the bed was soooo comfortable, food was top tier and I loved that I got upgraded.

Excellent location, staff so friendly especially the Bar staff. Rooms spotless & have all the amenities you’d expect, breakfast service very friendly & plenty of choice. The hotel is next to Company Gardens which has a great cafe & is ideal for relaxing with a bottle of wine in the afternoon! Will definitely be returning to this fantastic city & hotel.
Book a Uber if you go out in the evening, plenty about.

The staff was amazing, rooms were very clean, hotel food was delicious & the spa was GEAT best massage by far I have had.

Attention to detail is magnificent! Nothing is too much to ask for. Smiles of every staff member are heart warming. Amenities are great quality! Coffee in the room is delicious! Really wowwwww. The Spa J Welness Circle is a must experience. Nomzamo did a world class massage well done and thank you!
