Authentic bengali restaurant in Purulia Town. Affordable price supported by professional staff. Delicious and delightful experience at Aami Bangali. The ambiance was awesome. The food was worth the money.

I searched for a good restaurant just 1 hour before reaching Purulia via car and found Aami Bangali. I had elderly with me and we were a total of 7 people.
Food was great, i love the experience of a meal in kanshar thala and glass.
After a sumptuous lunch we came back for dinner at this same restaurant as it was luckily again on the same route to our way back to the hote we stayed.
Our group loved the begun bhaja in the thali 👌 you can see it in the photo i uploaded.
We ordered a lot of items in the menu as we were a total of 7 people.
I'm not going into the details of every item but you will definitely not be disappointed. I hope they maintain the same standard which i experienced ( review written on march 2024).

Really a great place to have your lunch or dinner. The ambiance was awesome. The food was worth the money. The behaviour of the staffs was really great. And the best thing about this restaurant is the বাঙালিয়ানা ❤
They will serve the food in copper utensils, and upon them, they will place a banana leaf. Overall a great place.

Awsome food quality , we ordered Veg, Chicken thali and fish thali. Also we tried Ch.Biriyani there. Each and every food was so fresh and delicious. Service was good beyond expectation . A must visit place if you are hungry and in purulia.

Everything I like about the restaurant,and the quality+taste is mind-blowing,but the only thing that makes me disappointed is they serve the food after long time ..

The ambiance is awesome. It is really a good choice for Traditional Bengali Food within Purulia. I ate mutton thali, Chingrir malai curry and my friend ate polou combo. The quality and quantity is really impressive. I shall recommend to my family and friends.

I've tried several items from here but Pulao Chicken kasha combo will forever be my FAVORITE!!!
Today I tried chicken dakbanglow, ummmm the flavors oozing out of the dish was mesmerizing the soul out of me!
The fish finger was not good enough, also overpriced!

Overall it was always a good experience to visit this place.

Here I have shared all the food pics with the names of them serially so that you can get it easy to understand. We ordered chicken thali , basanti polao chicken kasa thali and chicken hariyali kabab. The food was really delicious 🤤.

This is a really really very beautiful hotel with a premium look and great maintenance. The food quality is very good the the hotel is well maintained and clean ,very hygienic. The food prices is okk not to expencive. Though this price and menu chenge while time of Druga puja. The staffs behaviour is very good . They serves varities of dishes in kansha's plates which feels very premium. I will sujest you to take u r family and spend some time reather online order. In that case the price of the food rises highly . This restaurant is available on swiggy. There fish products are very tasty

Nice food, quality, quantity.. thalis are awesome.. variety of fish dishes are available.. i would recommend ✅ price are slightly on the higher side but overall satisfied, the ambience is also good..

The taste of Foods are really awesome! In Purulia district,this is the first place i have seen something unique and within affordable price. Waiters are welcoming and the you can Enjoy the food with your family/couple peacefully. Best food so far. I enjoyed the food.

First look of Aami Bangali Purulia

After there successful ventures in Kolkata Aami Bangali has opened their latest outlet at Purulia, near axis bank on Ranchi road. Purulia has been very popular place for all Bengalis post lockdown. Being located at about 350 kms from Kolkata, Purulia is easily accessible to everyone and is indeed a beautiful place to visit. But when you visit Purulia make sure you try out dishes from Aami bangali.

Being a Bengali , Bengali cuisine is always close to my heart , this is something which i eat everyday hence replicating a traditional Bengali dish and getting praised isn't an easy job .As we all are so much knowledgeable about our own food and almost all the foodies like me know the small details about this cuisine which can take a simple dish from mediocre to extraordinary . Yet this place should get much of appreciation as they are doing a great job with the cooking and respecting our emotions .

The interior of the place is just amazing , chairs and tables are all made of bamboo. Not the biggest place but still can accomodate about 25-30 people at a time. Staffs are very polite and helpful .

Coming to the grand meal we had . Bengali cuisine is mostly known for jaw-dropping fish preparations , rich spicy curries and different types of fried items .

You can start off with the famous e fish fingers which are finger shaped fish fillets made from bhetki fish and served with kasundi, a traditional sauce made with mustard that has a pungent smell. You can also opt for luchi cholar dal.

For the mains you may go for steamed rice with mutton kasa , lebu Lanka murgi and dhokar dalna. Being a fan of both mutton and dhoka , which is a type of traditional lentil cake made with chana dal , I enjoyed both the dishes with my rice , just a perfect meal for me. The mutton portions were good , the gravy being rich and spicy , the way we Bengalis love to have. On the other hand lebu Lanka murgi is a prep made with boneless chicken marinated with lots of lemon and cooked with some addition of chillies . It had completely different flavours ,but is was nothing compared to the mutton kasa. The dhokar dalna had its own way of amusing me with its humble gravy and on point flavours.

Plenty of fish preparations will also impress you, be it chingrir malaicurry a classic prawn dish with coconut milk, pabda mach prepared with bori and begun or even then sorshe ilish. Flavours will make your tastebuds dance in joy.

In a nutshell, they are going to reign the restaurant industry in Purulia for a long time now.

Aami Bangali... Yes, I'm a Bangali and I love to call myself Bangali, not Bengali... In fact, if I visit any 5 Star rated Bengali Restaurant, I love to have my meal with my hand only. Actually, it brings the emotion and food becomes more tasty.

And this time, we tasted these sumptuous dishes in Purulia.

Purulia has got its first fine dining authentic Bengali cuisine restaurant in the heart of Purulia, at Ranchi Road, near Axis Bank outlet.

While we visited this place it brought the emotion of giving a birth to a child. The way the owners were busy and the smirk was there in their eyes, it was good to see and everything we can't capture through the lenses.

Aami Bangali is the only Restaurant chain that serves the best Bengali Cuisine across India.

So, while it was starting its baby steps, we witnessed that.

And the best part was to see the restaurant with a housefull mode, having a long queue at the outside of the restaurant.

I'm sure, Aami Bangali Purulia will rock away, just the way it's doing for over the years.

If you're planning your Purulia trip, or you're staying in Purulia, you just can't afford to miss this.

Very authentic Bengali food.Quality is very good and variety is also there.I will recommand "THALI" for pocket friendly price.Lift was working.

I had really an amazing experience there , I ordered for authentic Bangali thaali with nolen gurer payesh and I must say that the food was too good, except the aalu poshto, it could have been better. And over all the ambiance was really beautiful and the behavior of the waiters was very sober.

Good food nice place to chill out with family and friends, nice behaviour of the staffs, authentic bengali dishes are available, overall is good but I feel there is a little bit lacking in preparation of the alu posto including posto bora item.

Bengali cuisine are authentic and very testy. Ambience is cum and homely.
Only humble request to the Management, please keep knife else cutting fish fry with spoon does not give the essence of dinning. Sorry for the photograph.

The ambience and the food are equally good. Must go to place if you are looking for some exotic bengali food.

Good experience. The staff are serving the dishes with authentic begali style (bronze thali). And foods are delicious. The most wonder experience get in Purulia (West bengal)

Food taste very good, ambience nice, staff well behaved but nor car parking space.
