Awesome experience of Ganga arati in the mayurpankhi ghat.......jai ma gange .....if anyone want to see Arati timing is 6.00p.m. to 7.30p.m. on Sunday.....you will be amazed like me ....i know there is a ghat in Kolkata do ganga arati but in small area how the arati can be arranged you will be amazed after visiting this place .....

This place looks great. Many people visit here. Ganga can be felt best by sitting here. Couples can also come here and enjoy with their partners. From now on, the Ganga looks great. Anyone from kids to old can come here and have fun. Such a beautiful place is really amazing.Every time I come here I am very happy. Very clean place. The Ganga Ghat is great to see.

Good place to spend time with friends or family & girlfriend in the evening , being Ganga and having river Ganga in front is a different experience.

A good place to take a walk in the evening. But as there is no option around the area is too crowded and there is no place to even stand properly. As I have visited around rainy season and the water flow was good in the Ganges, it looked really beautiful. The small waves and the breeze were rhythmical and the full moon made it more powerful as a single composition of three natural phenomenas. 8/10. A must visit in a non crowded day.

Chinsurah is a beautiful historical town situated beside the river Ganges in Hooghly district,West Bengal. I often like to visit this town for a day or two for my creative inspirations. Chinsurah has a rich historical past . The Dutch formed their East India Company (O.V.C.) around 1602 in Chinsurah.The town is filled with Dutch memories and architectures. Dutch ruled here till May 1825.

Mayurpankhi Ghat is beautifully constructed concrete boat in the shape of a peacock.This ghat serves as a resting place for the local residents and passenger boats passing through the river. There were nearly thirty ghats in Chinsurah. Still we can find these following ghats namely Tulapati Ghat,Battalar Ghat,Seal’s Ghat,Shyambabur Ghat, Shandeswar Talar Ghat, Shandeswar Ghat,Dhala Ghat,College Ghat,Ghanta Ghat,Hanuman Ghat,Dun Sahib’s Ghat, Dutta Lodge’s Household Ghat,Twin Ghat (Joraghat),Shiv Mandir Ghat etc. “Vande Mataram” ,the theme song for the Indian freedom movement was created by Sri Bankim Chandra Chatterjee while staying in a house adjacent to Jora Ghat ,Chinsurah.

I also like the Chinsurah Maidan (Chinsurah Ground) ,stretching along the banks of river Ganges. Here we can enjoy the beauty of four huge green playgrounds and several smaller ones. The Chinsurah Maidan area is enriched with beautiful parks, Rabindra bhawan, a tennis court, swimming pools, historic town club etc.

Bandel Church (Oldest church in Bengal), Hooghly Imambara, Jubilee Bridge, Hooghly Collegiate School (second oldest high school in Bengal) , Chinsurah Court (longest building in Bengal ) Dutch Cemetery,Vande Mataram Bhawan, Hooghly Mohsin College are the must visit place for all.

It is a beautiful ghat beside the Ganges river. There is s small area for sitting. You can capture beautiful picture of river and also a bridge near the ghat. There are some shop, sell fast food, near the ghat. It is a good place for refreshment. You can also see a peacock like structure infront of the ghat. The ghat is also called Jaganath ghat.

I went there with one of my suitors and he took major decisions like visiting my family etc. So I would say that the place definitely gives you the right vibes and my partner found it romantic too. It was drizzling a bit. I wish Ganges lookes cleaner. And there were places to sit and then I walked over till Jubilee bridge from there

Mayurpankhi Ghat is one of the ghats in Chinsurah, Hooghly District. The area of specialization of this ghat lies in its construction. It is built in the form of a boat having the shape of a peacock.
