Ballavpur Wildlife Sanctuary & Deer Park

Probably one of the best deer parks in India. This is well maintained. The entry fee is a bit high...100 rupees per person. But it's worth it. I am also sharing the photos...you can understand how closely we can see the deer herd. They will fight and do all sorts of stuff. Many will even pose for you. If you're in shantiniketan, definitely go here.

I found the experience to be quite wonderful. Many many deer call this sanctuary home and they all come out during meal times. If you walk further, there are beautiful fields and trees near the water body filled with all sorts of birds and fauna. Best time to go is in the morning around 10:30am!

Awesome place , almost 100 deers are there. Place is well decorated and maintained. Expectations was more to see, however nothing is there except dear and peacock.
Entry fee is 50 for adults 5 rupees for child and student.
Parking charge 30 rupees for Car ,20 rupees for Bike, 10 rupees for Cycle.

Nearer to Biswa Bharati University. Green vegetation. Deer Park, Migratory and local birds. jackels were also found. Nearest tourist destination is NIC(Nature Interpretation Centre), the is a fossil park and a museum are there. Approx. 2 kms. to reach 'Khoai', one in a week(Saturday) local people is arranging fair, handicrafts are sold there and many singers('Baul') perform beautiful songs.

Sprawling landscape... Excellent treat for nature lovers... Landscaped areas are great for children too... Gates open at 9am and visitors allowed till 4pm... It's so peaceful, even one full day may not be enough to satisfy one's thirst to be one with nature...

Have been here recently. The entry fee is 50 rupee for adults. The best time to visit is 10 to 10:30 am, since the deers are being fed during that time. There are lots of deer and deer only, no other animals are present though. There are two watch towers, the second one provides a good view of the surrounding area. A good place to visit.

Who said that you will see the deer just like the so called "unreal" dolphins of Chilka lake?

The entry fee is 50 rs (if you are a student, show the school/college id card and it is reduced to 05 rs !)

When you enter, you can see deers, in a pack of 8-10, taking their lunch (lunch time is around 3 pm). Next, you can see the "Deer PHC". As you proceed inside, you will be introduced to a lot of deer, and of varieties.

There are two watch towers (one of them is closed), where you can take good selfies.

Edit: It happened to us, that we saw a baby deer crossing the fence and coming on to the road, so we went near and touched it. But it fled away...😅.

It's a beautiful place with lots of deer..if u want to watch deer then u should go around 11am to 1 pm..that time is deer's feeding time..nd u can see them..normally u can also see them..bt that time they used to come closer..a watch tower is there..but recently it is closed due to some unexpected matter..very nice and quiet place..u can go with ur family frndz kids also gf or bf whatever u have..
Parking place is there outside..can get tea coffee cold drinks outside..
The time is 1 hour...means after entering the main gate ul get 1 hour to roam inside,which is enough..ul njoy the natural view also..
In weekend u can come..

Many types of deer are sheltered here. Also monitors and different birds. Migratory birds from Siberia also seen here in winter.

Lovely place to visit with your friends and family. There are so many deers in this sanctuary. Except deers no other animals are there.

The Deer Park was very quiet and peaceful, was enjoyable to walk through the path and through the forest. The scenery was spectacular. The Deers were uncaptived at about 12:30 PM and were good enough to watch them eating their daily.

Very beautiful place to spend time with kids and family...lots of deer and trees...some water body also .
