One of the best museums I’ve ever seen. Must visit this place. Kids will definitely love it.

Amazing museum, one of its kind, speaks about the adivasis of Konkan, well preserved artwork. Passionate owner speaks from the heart. A must visit whenever you are in Kudal.

A good learning experience with our teenage kids. An insight of our past cultures, which are dying slowly but certainly. Hats off to our artists and their families who despite all odds are keeping up the good work.

We visited this place today with my family.
Mr. Balkrishna gave us background information first about the Thakar tribe people, how their ancestors used to work with lord Shivaji Raje then with Sambhaji Raje. How thakar people settled in Kudal.
They gave us beautiful puppet show based on 'Sita Haran' event/story. Later we visited museum which has details, instruments, things which were used by Thakar people to do for their living like Powada by story telling, fishing and many more work done by Thakar tribe people.
It is an excellent experience at the museum.

Everyone should visit this place and support their work.

Must place to visit if you have in kudal and near by area. If you have to watch culture of "Thakar" do visit at this place. Secondly you have find some hand wire motion puppets and various variety. Half an hour's is enough to watch this place. Mr Ganpat Mhaske gives us a brief information about this.

Extremely well maintained museum with a very simple setup but amazing artefacts. Lots of spectacular information shared by the museum owner about the culture & the history /utility of the Thakar community during the reign of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Amazing facts about agriculture & topography of the region. Definitely, a must visit place. Especially to show our kids the intelligence, engineering, simplicity & greatness of our Indian culture.

Beautiful museum..., must visit such place. All the ancestors things you will able to see. Mr.Krishna gave nice explanation about all the things in the museum.

The place is worth to visit if you are in Sawantwadi side. The beautiful artifacts contains so much historical information and Mr. Krishna Masge who helped us explore the full museum with so much of detailed information was very really knowledgeable and has preserved the heritage very nicely.

This is a museum started by a Chitrakathi artist from the Thakar Community. The museum is located in his old cowshed and it is only with the pure intention of preserving their traditional art. Do visit this museum to know more about fascinating world of ancient story tellers. And patronise this endeavour to protect our crafts.

One of the best museum in Konkan region. Totally knowledgeable presentation..... they collected not only old things but also collected all old memories..... really nice place to visit. Please visit this place with your family and Kid's.... it'is very easy to know our old golden era....Must visit.

Its a beautiful place to visit. really worth it. Will visit it again for sure as everything here is maintained properly and even the guide to tour the place is done in a friendly and helpful way as to understand the not so known culture.
