I incurred a great injury in my left knee after na accident. Although my condition was not so serious but I was suffering terribly. Before him I consulted two other docs. They all prescribed medication which didn't provide any long term relief. At that moment he came as a messiah. Within just 1 day under his treatment I felt great relief. He saved me from being bed ridden or wrong treatment.

Quite an experienced surgeon... Did my surgery for patella fracture and later removal of the implant. Mostly hassle free. But to get appointment of him is an everest climbing task. Apollo Hospital doesn't help you in any ways. A very cheap quality woman is appointed as his PA to get the appointments done for the patients. She doesn't pick up calls even after multiple attempts,quite rough in her behaviour. Even after charging fees of around Rs.1200 per visit,You have to wait for him almost 3-4 hours even if prior booking was done. Also the Surgeon is quite insensitive but has good hands due to his enormous experience in the field of Orthopaedics. I would request Apollo Hospital authority/Management to kindly appoint another PA for this doctor and cut down the time consuming affair a patient has to face while going to consult him.

Doctor is good. He is too busy and insensitive. His secretary for appointment Ms Aparna will not provide prior appointment. Will tell to call before 2/3 days. When u call before 2/3 days..she says appointment is not available. She will provide some other dates .after a week.

He did surgery for multiple fractures my dad suffered due to an accident. Very rude, insensitive and money minded doctor. He doesn't own his work and doesn't care about the patient post surgery. For my dad's case he implemented a rod shorter than required and my dad's fracture never healed! He never accepted his mistake and gave various excuses.

I never came across with the Doctor, although, he is very skilled surgeon. I got very annoyed with his assist Aparna Madam because of her way of talking. Very rude and patient unfriendly. I didn't proceed further.

Doctor might be good but to busy to attend due to some many patients under him and Appollo hospital is the worse I have ever seen , Appollo things patients are like ATM machine
My father had a knee replacement and after 2 months he had infection in the same knee, doctor is to busy to get appointment and his secretary Aprna doesn't receive phone for the appointment that why his infection was detect much later.
Then when his knee replacement was done in 2 lack and when this infection removal OT was done, doctor said it will be a minor operation plus sone antibiotics which cost 4 lack
I don't know how a major operation cost is 2 lack and minor operation cost 4 lack

No. 1 fraud. I would request everyone to at least think thrice before paying him a visit.

My mother had knee issues. We went to him for treatment at Apollo Kolkata. On the first day, after examining for few minutes he put out a diary and told us knee replacement operation is urgently needed, he is available in these dates, let us know when to operate. We blindly trusted him and operation of left knee was done on 18th feb, 2019. He suggested one physiotherapist. But even after few months, my mother could not bend her knee. The physiotherapist told us that it was not looking normal. She should be able to bend by now. We should immediately contact the doctor. But this doctor is a VIP. We called his assistant and got appointment after 2 weeks. We requested her that the situation is serious. But she said the doctor is very busy. After two weeks when the doctor saw, he put the blame on physiotherapist. He looked clueless. He said that another minor operation is needed to fix it. It was done in april. But even after that, situation remained same. My mother could not bend her operated knee. On top of that, she started to feel burning sensation on that left thigh. We were clueless,hopeless. We called BDC's assistant few times for another appointment if anything else could be done but she used to ignore calls. She used to say appointment date is not available in a month. My mother gave up after this. Till date she can not bend her knee.
The summary is Buddhadeb Chatterjee is a fraud. The patient party will be treated as VIP until the operation and payment of the operation is done. Once it is done, the doctor will not take any responsibility.

Good doctor, good surgeon. But most insensitive. I have a patient operated in Apollo, Hospital Kolkata, who was admitted with no evidence of CORONA. After the operation completed, she is diagnosed with CORONA by the hospital (not sure how much of it is true). Now there is no supervision of the patient. Her regular checking, helping her to stand and walk after the knee replacement is totally stalled. Don't imagine how a doctor can be so heartless, or insensitive towards his patient. As support and fight from her family is not that strong, she is in the most helpless situation. Don't know, where to go, whom to tell.
