Jayathi is another important Kalinga-era site, one unlikely to impress the casual visitor, but likely to impress those who study historic Indian architecture and arts.

It is remote, set within a hilly Eastern Ghats area. There are three sites, separated by about 1000 feet, along the road through the village as it heads in the northeasterly direction. The first is called Vignesvara, second Shiva and third is called the Parvati temple which is more midst the trees. All are semi-ruined and the temples are of different sizes.

Here you will find a few villagers co-sharing the AP state-protected-monument space. Some temples are marked for restoration, while others show signs of damage. The notable part here is the artwork around these temples, and the floor plans of the temples. These are worth comparing those found on the far more impressive and spectacular Mahendragiri Hindu temples.
