The day trip with Om. Was excellent. He is really a nice guy and very open of our demand concerning to go through the country side by a Jeep. To see birds and gazelles and Blu Bulls it was a really safari tour and after that we visited house of vishnoïs people.

One the best things ever to do while in Jodhpur and maybe in the whole Rajasthan area.
Special thanks to the organizers as they accepted to do this activity at the time we chose.
We had Ashok as a guide, he came to our hotel very early and waited for us. He explained what we will do before the activity starts and promised us to see all the animals In the Safari and then go to the villages. Ashok was very nice and caring, he explained everything, we got to see very rare animals including the blue bull and the blackbuck, Ashok didn't care about the time and was really focused on making the experience as much fulfilling as possible and keeping up his promise which he did. Then we went on to visit the Bishnoi villages, had masala chai with fresh cow milk, turbine scarf making, potery making, and than had lunch with his wife in his own bishnoi house, his brother showed us how they made rugs in traditional ways.
The activity add says 3 to 4 hours, we spent more than 6 hours with Ashok and his family and it felt like minutes. Would not hesitate to do it again.

If someone wants to explore village life.. then it's best place to experience(potterymaking, block printing, weaving, local food, mud houses, village sites etc). Overall worth visiting this place.

Did the village tour with guide Om. We stopped at a local joint producing pottery, a carpet weaving cooperation and a Bishoin home - and also saw some wild life on the way. At the end local food could be enjoyed, which was delicious! Om was very friendly and helpful and provided us with lots of information. I can highly recommend the tour!

Really lovely safari and tour of the Bishnoi community. A great way to spend an afternoon outside the chaos of Jodhpur. A safari to see gazelle, bird sanctuary and the ancient crafts of the Bishnoi.

Lovely experience. Our guide is very much polite and friendly. Do contact this for best village, desert safari and camel ride . Ghar ka khana is the best part so delicious and having traditional taste. Camel ride and visiting village after so long was an overwhelming experience.

Mindblowing quintessential Rajasthani food, hospitality such that it feels cannot be bought by money and ambience, well, just check out their pictures, they speak for themselves. They have comfy airconditioned (actual) huts in this resort. The staff, especially the owners Mr. Amit and Manoj, are so much at your service, they make you feel like kings and queens. But get ready to put on some weight here due to the all the rich food and ghee they keep serving so lovingly.

The BISHNOI VILLAGE SAFARI is organized by the Prajapat Brothers and is a highly popular off beat trip ,while visiting Jodhpur.
It starts of with an early morning pick up and then a lovely drive till you arrive at the BLACK BUCK SANCTUARY. Here you can sight the very shy ,but majestic BLACK BUCK....if you are patient. There are also peacocks and birds.
From here you are taken to villages where one can witness HAND BLOCK PRINTING, POTTERY and DHURRIE WEAVING.
The safari ends with lunch ,that is if you have opted for it. My advice is .....PLEASE DO NOT MISS THE LUNCH.
Lunch consisted of fresh home cooked simple but delicious bajre ki roti, kadi, aloo ki sabzi and the KER SANGRI.
The ker sangri is a local produce and is seasonal which is believed to have numerous health benefits and is simply DELICIOUS .We ate like there was no tomorrow 😃😃.
This trip gave us a brief insight into the simple life of these artisans. It was an amazing experience.
A MUST TRY......OFFBEAT JODHPUR!!!

Leave early.....carry sun protection gear and water with some light snacks.

The Prajapat Brothers are a very enterprising lot...they also have cottages that are very quaint ...if you would want to spend the night.

JODHPUR one of the favourite city without doubt🖤.
Upon arrival in pukhraj garh resort we ( me and shivangi 💏) were warmly welcomed by🙏 OMPRAKASH PRAJAPAT.
we started by visiting a local Bishnoi pottery house. We also did pottery class and made a vase which i carried all the way from Jodhpur to sriganganagar 😅.
This tour was followed by safari where we saw the black buck, deer, peahen and nilgai.🦌🦚
We then saw how block printing are done by using organic color prepared by eatable like haldi, spinach. The demonstration was explained step by step and as well as done by us too. He was so kind to give us tips and tricks to do at home D.I.Y.✌
Visited opium ceremony which was held by TULSIRAM KAKA. He was very sweet, fun loving and still young hearted guy.😘
Our journey ended with OMPRAKASH at his place( own house) where they also run durry weaving. There we were served flavoursome lunch cooked on mitti k chulha by LEELA having an authentic Rajasthani taste.
Their family run resort is absolutely stunning with authentic huts⛺ with attached bathroom🛁 for stay and a pool 🏊‍♀🏊‍♂to chill in afternoon.
Absolutely definitely i will be recommending your tour and i will also be taking another in future. Thankyou for a wonderful journey. I was so pleased with the trip. Our guide OMPRAKASH PRAJAPAT was outstanding, knowledgeable, friendly, safety conscious.
Many many thanks again and i recommend bishnoi village tour and a stay at Pukhraj garh resort .

I 100% enjoyed the tour led by Shambhuram last week. We started our tour at the clock tower. He was punctual! Then, my husband and I hopped on the jeep and started our journey.

We were first introduced to "block printing"(it was okay, but not seem authentic to me) and "pottery-making"(it was great! the artisan was so skilled!) production by local artisans.
The last stop, Shambhuram showed us to his family house where he practiced handweaving for us and showed us many beautiful handmade "Dhurries". We had a great time with him and his family, his daughter was adorable!!! He mentioned the profit of the carpet selling goes directly to the artisan's family. In my opinion, the price and the quality of the carpet were better than the market in the city center. Moreover, you can trust the material they used was pure.

In the end of the tour, his wife made us a delicious lunch meal with handmade chapatti. We sat on the carpet placed in the kitchen, enjoyed the authenticity of village life with them.
Highly recommended if you like to make a true connection with the local!

It is a must do in jodhpur. We are glad we took it. Mr. Ashok patiently waited so that we got close looks of peacock, blue bull, dears and even black buck. We made sure we dont disturb the animals. We are fascinated by the block printing, pottery and panja dari making process. Our 5 year old enjoyed and so thrilled to make a pot. The trip offers a close look at the homes of villagers, their life . The villagers are warm, welcoming and talented. This is a trip that must not be missed.

An amazing experience. Very interesting and informative experience. Awesome food and a fun tour of the wildlife and traditions of the Bishnoi people.

Beginning with an opium ceremony, then clay pot making experience, to the woven tapestry and end is the best food I have had on my travel in India so far
