This is another mansion which also welcomes visitors for a nominal fee of Rs. 50. Upon arrival, we were greeted by an elderly person who provided us with a brief overview of the 150-year-old house and guided us on how to explore it. Surprisingly, the house appears to be in impeccable condition. The courtyard and corridors are truly beautiful and have a wonderful aesthetic. Don't forget to check out the first floor, which offers lovely views and is still very well-maintained. This house has made appearances in several Tamil movies, including 'Sandai Kozhi,' and it's worth noting that the courtyard at the back was used as a filming location for the old Tamil serial 'Mettioli.

Its a 150 year old house. Owners were friendly and accommodating. They charge 50 per person for visit. Ground floor is maintained clean and house is kind of big.

Excellent place which was maintained well. Never looked like 150 years old. Heard shooting for movie happened even day before we went. Pamplet is given containing highlights and information about the property. They will charge you Rs.50/- per head. Don't miss to visit first floor.

A wonderful chettinad palace. The only open one near the original chettinad Palace. The lady inside is a bit grumpy but you can talk to her and she is eager to share a lot of details regarding the place.

Probably the only house you must visit if you don’t have enough time or money during your visit to chettinad. It is a big house, not as big as Athangudi’s Letchmi villas but decently big. They allow first floor access and the house has all common elements of Chettinad house such as Italian tiles and granite pillars, Belgium glass, Burma teak, courtyard with 4 stair cases, etc…

Beautiful mansion. We came across this wonderful old mansion while wandering round Kanadukathan. The owner appeared and offered to show us round. Very interesting insights. A highlight of our visit to Tamil Nadu. Michael, Edinburgh, Scotland, UK.
