Barpeta Satra
The Kirtan Ghar is considered to be the largest in Assam. The Three Guru Asanas are placed in this buildings in honour of Shrimanta Sankardeva, Shri Madhavdeva and Shri Badula Ata. The two Satradhikars sit behind the Asanas to hold Nam-Prasangas regularly.

I visited this place 4 yes ago during the Holi festival. I loved the entire environment and energetic crowd roaming around the Kirtana Ghar, playing colours and spreading and offering to the Almighty. Lots of people...religious offerings...loved the locals for decent and devoted manners. Please do visit in your lifetime for a pristine feeling.

It's a great place. Very peaceful and devout place. Only men wearing Dhuti, Gamucha and Cheleng Sadar are allowed to enter the Kirtan Ghar (main house of worship). No women are allowed to enter the main Kirtan Ghar.

😍😍Barpeta Kirtan Ghar or Barpeta Satra was established by Mahapurush Sri Madhav Dev. It is a Hindu religious shrine which follows Neo-Vaishnavism. Best time to visit here is during Deul Utsav (Holi festival), Janmastami, Bohag Bihu, Magh Bihu and many more. But the best time is during Holi.

Visit if you want to have some peace ✌🕊 it's cold inside
You can know about the history from the office people, they are very helpful. Enquire if Mr. KULAN is there or not. He will help you in everything. Rooms are available in the Campus for free, who wish to stay and know about Kirthan Ghar. Museum and swan 🦢 home is there.
For males entry is permitted, but not for females 😔.

Holy place.plz visit once. I visit there every year with my family in the festival of magh bihu. Its a festival of joy. We burn mejis(big bonfires) in his festival. Eat food prepared by newly harvested rice. There are three types of rice grown in Assam namely,
1.winter or saali rice.
2.bodo or summer rice .
3. Autumn rice.
Saali rice is cultivated in summer and harvested in winter like close to magh bihu. That's why we eat food prepared by saali rice in magh bihu
Plzz visit barpeta kirtan Ghar once. I personally recommend you 💓. Love you all
