Great experience at the Jodhpur Heritage walk. Our guide Prabhat was as professional as they can be. Great conversation and knowledge about the city and it's history. We explored the old city with its gorgeous allies and eateries and the shopping along added to the delight.
Prabhat was patient and kept up with our exploration too. Thanks to him and the organizers for making this walk the most memorable part of our trip.

This was an amazing experience. It gives so much value to your stay in Jodhpur. Worth every single Rupee. Our guide Prabhat was so knowledgeable and a very calm and polite character. He did the tour at our slow pace and we weren't rushed at all. If possible, ask for him. You'll have a great time. Jodhpur Heritage Walks - 100% recommended.

Embarking on a heritage walk at 7:30 in the morning with Rishi Jodha was an enchanting experience. Rishi Jodha, our knowledgeable guide, led the way through the ancient streets of Jodhpur, weaving a tapestry of history, culture, and culinary delights.

During the walk, Rishi Jodha introduced me to the diverse and delectable world of Jodhpur's street food. From local delicacies to hidden gems tucked away in the narrow lanes, each bite offered a flavorful insight into the city's culinary heritage. Along the way, we explored ancient temples, where Rishi shared intriguing stories and historical anecdotes, adding depth to the spiritual fabric of Jodhpur.

As we strolled through the old streets, Rishi Jodha's passion for the city became evident in the way he shared various interesting facts. His knowledge extended beyond the obvious, uncovering the lesser-known aspects of Jodhpur's rich tapestry.

The morning heritage walk with Rishi Jodha wasn't just a journey through physical spaces but a holistic immersion into the soul of Jodhpur. The combination of local street food, ancient temples, and captivating stories created a vivid mosaic that made this heritage walk a memorable and authentic experience.

Some cities are meant to be explored slowly, with no haste and by foot. Jodhpur is a fine example of such city. Beyond the few popular 'instagram-able gullies' of Jodhpur, there lies a magnificent maze of havelis and houses being continuously inhabited for centuries. The actual blue city that has been substantially preserved since antiquity. My Jodhpur Heritage Walk guide, Prabhat ji, did a wonderful job at familiarizing the city to a first time traveller. An extremely patient guide with excellent demeanor, Prabhat ji not only explained the history behind the tangible heritage of the city but also its intagible heritage, something that many guides miss to do. From walking through the old community based residential areas in the oldest parts of the city to the market areas, it was a delightful experience. To top it all, I was taken to the decades old library of Umaid School, near Gulab Sagar lake, where I discovered hidden gems covered in dust and magic.
Jodhpur Heritage Walk, (and especially Prabhat ji), offers not a guided touring service but a holistic experience in itself. If one is truly interested in being in the city and not just tick it off the bucketlist, Jodhpur Heritage Walk is highly recommended.

My guide Prabhat was great. He really knew the city well as he'd lived in the old part his whole life. Very knowledgeable and friendly. He took me to some of his favourite street food places from his childhood. Most importantly, unlike most guides in Rajasthan, he did not try to take me shopping! Would recommend.

I had a very pleasant time in Jodhpur. My guide really focused on what I wanted to see and I also had nice time for realaxing in between. I asked him to show me a good antique store where I bought a hand painted furniture. I really enjoyed the time in Jodhpur and recommend this tour.

I spent 2 days with Jodhpur Heritage Walk. First day we went to the Fort and to the Blue City. I was very pleased to go there with the guide Umed. He told me so much about the history of the place, showed me the most interesting spots in the Fort (on my own I would not know what to pay attention to) and helped me to find my way in the streets of the blue city. As I am very interested in photography, next day I asked Umed to bring me to the best spots to watch the sunrise and the sunset. He brought to places with no tourist with great views on the Fort. It was a great experience.

It was a wonderful experience. We walked around the small by-lanes and alleys of old town for nearly 3 hours. I was with Tarun, who has immense knowledge of the city, loves the city and is also passionate about conserving alongside the local community in old Jodhpur.

The entire walk experience is highly recommended if you want to leave the noisy bazaars and go into the heart of the old town.

If you are looking for a knowledgeable team, that is patient with your questions, gives a personal 1:1 experience and is warm then go for Jodhpur Heritage Walk

I had Rakesh Je Kachawaha as my guide for the half day heritage walking tour and a full day tour of Mehrangarh Fort.

Both the tours were excellent, rich in information about the Indian architecture, art and food in the city. Highly recommend the tours for solo travelers and groups looking to make the most out of Jodhpur.

The guided tour by them was nicely done. We had asked for customised plan with photography + history + food of the city. The guide Tarun explained us everything and took us to some less crowded places. We also added Fort in our itinerary and Tarun guided us there as well. They even recommend you places which only locals know. Will recommend them if you want to have a true taste of the city.

I had a great walk with one of their guides, Nitin Lobo. He grew up in Jodhpur and is very knowledgeable about the city, people, history, socio-political landscape etc. Our walk started with a fantastic view of the sunrise from Pachetiya hills and continued through the lanes of
old (blue) city. He also took me to a few traditional shops to experience some of the well known local delicacies of Jodhpur. I highly recommend Nitin, Harshvardhan and their team.

We took the help of Prabhat Singh for a heritage walk of Jodhpur - focussed primarily around Mehrangarh fort. Prabhat is highly knowledgeable about the history of Rajasthan, and about Jodhpur in particular.

The heritage walk started at Clock tower, proceeded through markets around Clock tower, and lanes through Brahmapuri before we started the steep climb up the cliff to the fort. After seeing the Padampur lake, we proceeded to the Mehrangarh fort.

Prabhat is a treasure of knowledge when it comes to everything around and in the fort. He is a proud native of Jodhpur, is very happy to explain history about Rajputs and provides context about everything that you see on your way. You might get tired with the walk, but Prabhat is never in a rush and goes out of his way to make your walk a memorable one.

Unless you are a local of Jodhpur, 1. You are unlikely to easily find your way around in the small lanes around old Jodhpur with Google maps or something equivalent 2. It is very unlikely that you will understand and appreciate the history behind places that you see on your way.

For these reasons, a heritage walk with Prabhat is highly recommended and the value derived is worth more than the ₹ you spend on it.

We did a 3.5 hour heritage walk with Rakesh ji and it was absolutely excellent. His knowledge is amazing and he has a genuine love for the city. I also had my 6 year old children with me and even they enjoyed it. He was very patient and did not rush the walk. Would definitely recommend to everyone.
