Tanda Thermal Power Station is located in Ambedkar Nagar district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. The power plant is one of the coal based power plants of NTPC. The coal for the power plant is sourced from North Karnpura Coal Fields. Source of water for the power plant is from Tanda Pump Canal on Saryu River.

Services of Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation buses are available 24 hours a day, and it is very easy to reach here from all places. By Road Akbarpur is 59 kms from Faizabad, 86 Kms from Azamgarh, 191 kms from Lucknow, 151 kms from Allahabad and 143 kms from Varanasi.

In the year 2000, Uttar Pradesh State Electricity Board (U.P.S.E.B.) transferred Tanda Thermal Power Plant to NTPC Limited against payment overdue. After acquisition of this plant, because of the better maintenance by NTPC Limited, this power plant has crossed its Plant Load Factor (P.L.F.) to more than 100%

It was an Gov. Plant which basically Run on coal based energy with having 1k MW burnig capacity .
My experience was very good here the staff and employees are very polite and good in nature .
And mainly i repect CISF officer which show there very good responed toward strangers.

I work ntpc ( AHP+CHP) since 2 year, so i feeling good , Most cearing staff, Safty gourd, securty gourd, CISF

NTPC tanda is My native place. You can reach from Faizabad by Bus, taxi on the other hand nearest Railway station is Akbarpur. You may also reach NTOC TANDA by train, taxi also.
NTPC Tanda comrises 4*110MW coal based commissioned power plant and 2*660 MW plant is under construction.

Ntpc tanda place is a electricity generation plant which capacity is approx 1300 Mega watt.

It's Administrative building of NTPC Tanda. Very neat and clean place 😊
