Very beautiful temple.. it’s not very far from HYD.. we went on shankaranthi day so was very crowded… but crowd management was very good.. will surely want to visit again.. they temple is very old, they have ample car parking.. 20rs ticket for car park..

Very good vibe and not money making temple like most of the places. Monday to Thursday inside and the rest day outside pradakshina are done. You could even purchase some items from outside shops at a cheap price.

Been to Sri Chilkur Balaji Temple on 23-12-2023 , it is an auspicious day of baikunth Ekadashi . Expected huge crowd. As the buses are free for ladies,, a huge crowd of women’s flowed. The temple community has arranged it very organised manner. Each and every one get opportunity to see the diety 🙏.Out of all “ Govinda “ chanting by all makes the temple premises so mesmerising. Govinda Govinda … still it is resounding in my ears . My daughters all felt so good . The best Birthday ever .

This is the temple of lord Balaji (Venkateswara Swami)......lord Balaji in this chilukuri Balaji temple is also commonly called as " God for VISA "

There is a belief in the locality that if we go to chilukuri Balaji temple and wish for a visa by walking around the temple for one time(1 pradakshina)........then our wishes come true...........after getting visa or any wishes granted by the god we must visit the chilukuri Balaji temple once again and this time we must surround the temple for 11 times (11 pradakshina) as a gratitude in return for our granted wishes by lord Balaji.

On weekends they won't allow anyone to do pradakshinas inside the temple.....but on weekdays we can do pradakshinas inside the temple.....

11 pradakshinas inside of the temple = 1 pradakshina outside of the temple

108 pradakshinas inside the temple = 11 pradakshinas outside of the temple

Also called Visa Balaji, this is an auspicious place of Hyderabad. Every saturday, common people can offer their pujas with Tulsi Mala and coconut here.
It is said that people's wishes for their visa get fulfilled here. And on visa approval, they come here again to thank lord balaji. Photography restricted inside the temple.
On saturdays, this temple remain extra crowded. And it will take around an hour to get the Darshan.

People believe that who ever visits the temple & offer 11 pradakshanalu will get their visa approved easily by god's grace
After their visa approval they have to visit the temple again & offer 108 pradakshanalu
After COVID the temple authority made a rule that u can do 1 pradakshina outside the temple which is equal to 11 pradakshanalu inside the temple & 11 pradakshanalu which is equal to 108 pradakshanalu inside the temple
So your choice whether to do inside or outside the temple
& in weekends pradakshanalu is not allowed inside the temple keeping in mind the rush of devotees on that days
In weekdays u can do pradakshanalu upto 6.30 pm ,if some left no worries, remaining can be done outside 😊
U can see lots of students doing it
Outside the temple u can get seasonalfresh fruits & there are lots of shops too
There are small hotels so no worries abt food
But better to reach as early as possible to avoid rush 🙂

Nice temple to visit. Divine experience. Keep a buffer of 30 to 45 mins on holidays and weekends. Pradakshanam - walking around the temple is done when you want to wish something and after the wish is accomplished.

This place is really beautiful and has a different vibe to it. No one asks money for anything. The shopkeepers try to lure you by asking you to buy offerings and in return you can keep your shoes there, but the shoe stand is present at the left side of the main entrance. You can get free numbered paper to count your rounds inside the temple, so no need to buy from outside.

Normal days it will take dharshan only 20min and pradakshina also possible...but coming bike parking all are doing scam ...u no need to pay ...and also selling 2~coconuts and and one thulasi mala combo pack 150-200(rupees charged)...so, buy from home it's more better for save money.... don't believe others about parking...

Temple atmosphere is good. Public transport (TSRTC) options available directly to temple, so it is easy to travel. But look for bus timings before hand, as there will be waiting time to get the bus.

Chilkur Balaji is a sacred site where Shri Lord Venkatesh, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, is believed to manifest. It is an ancient belief that those who sincerely remember Lord Balaji and offer heartfelt prayers have their wishes fulfilled by Him. The temple dedicated to Balaji is located approximately 50 kilometers away from Hyderabad and can be reached by state bus services. Devotees have the privilege of witnessing the darshan (divine appearance) of Balaji through the main entrance, and upon the fulfillment of their desires, they perform circumambulation around the temple premises.

I have also attached a video along with my post, which you might have noticed that only a few have observed, showcasing the beauty of the temple and the tranquility it offers. Adjacent to the temple, there is a pond where devotees partake in the ritualistic act of ablution. Visiting this site provides a serene experience, akin to stepping into the realm of Balaji's domain.

We were here on Sunday and the crowd was less as we reached here by 8.30 AM. Try to come as early as possible as the temple gets open by 6 AM in the morning. Parikrama is allowed inside the temple only from Monday to Thursday and on Friday, sat and Sunday you have to do parikrama outside. It becomes very hot as time passes by and it will be tough to do the parikrama. Come early if you want to do the parikrama on weekends. There are a lot of shops around the temple from where you can eat and you can also do window shopping.

Chilkur Balaji temple, Govindaaa Govindaaaa…

I personally experienced many miracles after started visiting this temple. It is the temple of Lord Balaji. Visa Balaji temple is another name for this temple. There is a strong belief in people that if we pray for visa in this temple we will definitely get it and we need to do 108 rounds after getting visa.

I asked for more than 5 wishes in this temple and I got the results within one month of praying and I’ve completed 108 round each time my wish fulfilled.

Lord Balaji is also known Lord Venkateshwara. It’s located in Chilkur village, While entering into this village you can visit couple of temples near by and there are two statues of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at two different places.

Timings - 6am to 1pm. And then 4pm to 6pm. A very serene place. The archakar (the person who does Puja inside the temple) does entertaining speeches about the topics of spirituality and compares it with day to day life. A very well maintained temple.
Parking charges - 20 rupees. They have restroom facility for ten rupees and the restroom nearby is very clean. There are TSRTC buses coming from mehdipatnam directly to Chilkur Balaji Temple.

It's a nice place You will get peace and a beautiful atmosphere best time to visit at morning 7am. Don't fall into the trap of coconut sellers they will be back of us and tell us to keep our footwear in their shops and ask us to buy coconut for a very high price and paid parking available here.

This place is a gem of Hyderabad . It is in corner of Hyderabad.
But the place carry many spiritual rights .
The place have belief that any wish did hear get fulfilled by lord shree Krishna {Govinda}.
People use to come and worship lord shree Krishna and covers 108 round inside the temple to thank god .
The place is very peaceful and a different kind of aura you feel from here .
They have shiva temple inside the temple .
People usually offer coconut and tulsi to god over this place.
This place have variety of souvenirs at the exit .
Overall a very peaceful and relaxing place you can go with you family and friend for positivity. Phone are not allowed to use inside temple premises.

1.Raod from Hyderabad to Chilukur is good.
2.Dharshan Ques depend on day you are going. If you want a quick darshan better go in week days (ensure its not a public holiday).
3.Mahapradakhana : 1 no when you are going to ask for a desire.
After fulfillment of desire have to do 11 Maha pradakshans
Mahapradakshana = 1 rotation around the entire temple premises.

Mon to Thursday 6am -12:30pm, 4pm- 6:30pm
* Mahapradakshans not allowed on public holidays.
4. Coconuts are to be offered at 2 places, one at Balaji temple and other at Shiva temple.
