Satkosia Sands Resort

I have visited this place in the month of September. I am speechless with the view.
This property is located at the river bank and surrounded by the jungle. This is a great weekend trip. The staffs are well mannered. Food was awesome.
Lot many things to do like boating , walking into the jungle , enjoying local dance drama etc.

Awesome resort located at the banks of river Mahanadi, home made food was provided during breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner at the resort.
Local folk dance was also arranged by the resort which was a unique experience.

Just outstanding place... We have booked Ac cottages on mountain slope, and it's worth our every penny... We had a great stay there with the views of Mahanadi 😌😌 wanna visit again surely.

Resort located at the River bank of mahanadi. Managed by the local community.Food is good and included in the package. One of the best nature resort in odisha. Many activity areas are there.Boating facilities are also available. They also provide facilities for Driver stay.The ac cottages are located high on the mountain.

Best place to stay in Satkishia . 3 cottages situated on the hill slopes and 4 swiss tents below that all has a stunning view of Mahanadi and hills surrounding it. Food are homely and testy . Property is well maintained. Enjoyed our stay very much.

Fantastic experience. Great drive through natural tree tunnels and forest. Some part of the road was not great but overall good roads. The staff and hospitality was awesome. Very nice food. Even though we two were the only guests, they did everything including the folk dance, which was a divine experience. We could see crocodiles in the early morning and went for a guided walk through forest. Just a walk, nothing to spot. We saw a giant squirrel at the camp. We really enjoyed. Mr Prakash, the manager was in touch one day before sharing the route map and ensuring that we were on the right way. Manas the guide was very helpful. The ladies of the staff were very courteous. Very memorable experience. We stayed on 06 July for one day.

I am thinking myself lucky enough to get a chance here. It's tents beside Mahanadi river will give you a spectacular view in winter.

One of the best nature camp in the state... excellent location with marvelous scenic views, cottages are well maintained....and importantly the management is in the hands of local folks, the ETG members. Food provided is simple and tasty. The view from and around the site is really breathtaking.

People generally says the site is best for visiting during winter days....as water recede and exposes large sandy area, suiting best to it's name Satkosia Sand Bar, and tent cottages are put on the sand bar in addition to the regular cottages on the hill slop. Of course, the view during winter is excellent and also gives opportunity to play on sand and water. But in contrast, visiting the place during mansoon, with overflowing Mahanadi is definitely an amazing experience.

Wonderful place on the Mahanadi riverbed... Eco tourism runs by OFDC and local community. Good for birding

Great service and Food quality. Tents are well main tented but no hanger in washroom. Water supply is sufficient . plug points are not in right place in tent. Table chair wardrobe are sufficient. Folkdance at evening is also enjoyable. thank all the staffs.

It is a very good location for leisure and family trips. It is better to arrange your personal vehicle to visit there, because it is hard to arrange vehicles for sightseeing because the location is very remote.
The environment is soothing and the solitude is enjoyable as well as the program perfprmed by local tribal people and Camp fire is also very much enjoyable.

a devine place with marvellous scenic beauty and warm hospitality. very hygenic and good quality and also good quantity of variety of food. very comfortable stay with package system including bonfire and traditional folk song also. But will recommend transport facility for boat ride from resort. will recommend everyone to visit once to unwind yourself.

Stayed here in December 2022. Though owned by Odisha Govt. it is an excellent resort in every way possible. Unique location, sprawling sandbank and hills, neat & clean and comfortable tent accommodation on the river bed, simple yet hygienic and healthy food, huge car parking space, lots of activities to keep the guests engaged. The staff are from nearby villages but are especially cordial, well-behaved and polite; they will go to extremes to make your stay memorable. The manager, Mr. Behera and two of the staff members, Ms Shailabala and Mr Digambar deserve a special place for their warmest hospitality. The room rate may appear to be high, but it includes all meals and taxes, thereby justifying the cost. The approach road needs to be better and wider. Highly recommending stay at this heavenly resort for a lifetime experience.

I visited this place with my wife, we had booked AC tent for 1 night stay. The total booking amount it was 5100 including fooding and check point entry fee.

They welcomed us with nice manner, parking space was big many vehicle can be parked inside the resort. We visited in mid April, the weather was not good there, we could feel the hot air inside the tent and its not recommended to visit during peak summer.

The food they served was really good and healthy, nothing to compliant about the food, it was delicious and only issue is you have to come to their dining place for food, they will not serve it to your cottage.

Many activity areas are there, it will keep you occupied for whole day. Sitting besides the river bank during sunset was wonderful experience.

For boating you have to go near by place , the charges was 700 if individual boat or else 150 per person on sharing.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Satkosia Sand Resort, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The scenery was also stunning, with beautiful forests, waterfalls, and rock formations to admire.

The food at the resort was also delicious - I particularly enjoyed trying the local specialties. The resort's restaurant offered a range of options, including both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, and everything was well-prepared and flavorful.

Overall, I would highly recommend Satkosia Sand Resort to anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing getaway in a beautiful and remote location. The service, accommodations, and activities are all top-notch, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

A must visit place to spend your quality time. It's like heaven. People are well behaved and service is very good. Quality and Quantity wise food is tasty and arrangement is nice too. We enjoyed our whole day there. Don't forget to visit satkosia gorge and take a boat ride. You will feel chilled and relaxed by watching hills on both sides of river. Crocodile are very less there. But anyways you will love this place.
