One of the places to visit in Araku Valley is the Coffee Museum. In 1930, a migrant by name Prakash Rao had set up a catering service for tourists to highlight the uniqueness of the Arabica Coffee. The museum manned by educated tribal staff showcase a series of pictures detailing the origin and history of coffee. They market 60 varieties of coffees and an array of 600 coffee-chocolates. Visitors can satiate their hunger and appease their craving by indulging in delicacies such as chocolates, sandwiches, brownies, mousses, tarts, etc and savor stimulating coffees.

The museum showcases various aspects of coffee production, from plantation to brewing, and educates visitors about the cultural significance of coffee in the area. the Araku Coffee House was set up by Prakash Rao, a migrant to the area. While the coffee house was first established as a catering business, it eventually expanded into a small museum tracing the history of coffee in the Araku Valley. The museum features tableaus with dolls depicting the processes involved in making coffee and the Sampoorna Coffee Gallery exhibits dioramas about the history of the bean. The murals also illustrate the journey of coffee from being berries to being ground and roasted and brewed in a cup. Established in 2006, the museum is now maintained by Rao’s sons Naresh Amelia, Santosh Kumar and Gopal Rao. The Valley, which is located in the Eastern Ghats of Andhra Pradesh, approximately 130 km away from the city of Visakhapatnam, was introduced to coffee plantations in 1898 by the British civil servant N.S. Brodie. Since this colonial genesis of the plantations in Andhra Pradesh, the Araku tribal coffee farmers have been engaged in the art of cultivating coffee. The interactive exhibits and demonstrations make it an engaging visit for coffee enthusiasts. Additionally, the museum often offers tastings of locally grown coffee, allowing visitors to savor the distinct flavors of Araku coffee. Overall, it's a fascinating stop to delve into the world of coffee amidst the picturesque setting of Araku Valley. The museum shows us the local history of the coffee plantation and the shop is filled with different treats made from coffee and of course coffee itself. Araku Valley is a hidden gem that exceeded my expectations. The lush green landscapes, cascading waterfalls, and the rich cultural experience made it a memorable trip. Katiki and Chaparai Waterfalls were breathtaking, offering a serene escape into nature. The culinary highlight was undoubtedly the Bamboo Chicken – a unique and flavorful dish that shouldn't be missed. The Tribal Museum provided valuable insights into the indigenous culture. Araku Valley's charm lies in its simplicity and the warmth of its people. I left with a sense of rejuvenation and a deep appreciation for this offbeat destination. Highly recommended for nature lovers and those seeking an authentic cultural experience.

U can taste and bring home.. they also have good qualities of masala like cloves, dry Fenugreek leaves , cinnamon sticks & also chocolates. The flowers inside the museum also create an awesome background view for photography. Loved this place and 200% recommended.

The place illustrates every detail about origin an development of Coffee in the world. There are excellent images and details regarding it.

There is aura of coffee all around. They have a cafe too and offer almost all varieties of coffee as a beverage.

Apart form that the place is a bit overpriced the entry fee itself if ₹80/- per person which is too much with regards to what this place offers.

The beverages in the cafe taste good.

Coffee Museum is another place one has to visit if you have ever been to Araku.

One can enjoy and get some knowledge on how coffee is processed.

One can enjoy coffee and snacks as well as buy coffee beans and coffee powder.

Buy handy craft items, which would obviously be little bit costly.

Enjoy by playing games like Bull Riding, cricket, play drums, archery, gun shooting and many more

Overall experience would be exciting and kids would really enjoy a visit to this place.

Very unique experience in the coffee museum. If you visit with your children it can be a full day fiesta as the museum has archery, bull riding, cricket. Also, we can get a multitude of cuisines like Pizza, Burgers here. But the winner in all this is of course the different coffees which you can try here. Multiple varieties of coffees which is a heaven for a coffee lover. The icing on the cake is that you can buy coffee chocolates along with many varieties of coffees.
