A very powerful goddess. Visit Bhairavar sannidhi and offer prayers for a complete remedy of all ills after a darshan of the goddess.

One of most loving place in Palakkad. From when I was a small boy and now being a grown man. Memories are completely filled with the temple. A very peaceful place. With a lovely pond in the premises. Whenever I visit Palakkad after moving out I make sure I come and sit there and move off.

Our Kuladheivam Manapullykavu Bhagavati Amman is a generous deity. A small but beautiful temple situated a bit away from the hustle of Palakkad has a beautiful temple pond and is serene & beautiful.

One should make it a point to visit this temple during the temple festival called Vela.

One of the powerful Devi temple in Palakkad dedicated to Durga devi. It’s situated in Yakkara which is very close to the town. Its on the way to Palakkad fort.
As many Palakkad origins are considered this temple as their family deity and visit this temple atleast once in a year. The festival(vela in local language) is very famous.

For many of the Kuladaivam related rituals, you should visit the temple early morning only. Some of them are not performed in the evening.

After nemmara-vallangi, This temple holds the pride of the festival that freezes Palakkad town completely for a day. The festival comes around Feb last week or Mar first week every year. This festival is of 5 desham typically called as Manappullikav Vela.

Very nice. A calm and peaceful place. At least some of the display board could have been in English. Everything is written in Malayalam and people like me who do not know malayalam have to ask others.

Its my ancestral family deity so emotional prejudices apart, its a small beautiful temple in Yakkara, Palakkad with its own small pond with clean fresh water. It has small temples dedicated to Ganapati, Ayyappa and Shiva apart from the main one dedicated to Devi. The vibe of the temple resonates with the spiritual lifestyle of the people who live here and also of the sincere prayers of all those who visit here. The Mother Goddess surely takes good care of her devotees and protects them, when one surrenders to her.
