It's a historical place known as Burj. Which means a tower used for signalling or watching out far distances. It is a famous Burj among the 8 Burj's built by the king during his era. It has one underground pass to some locations for safety. Very good location and it's in the heart (centre) of the city. A 30min view spot. No entry tickets. Free entry.

Kondareddy Burj is a historical fort that stands tall in the heart of Kurnool city. The best time to visit the fort is the evening when the sun sets behind the horizon and the fort is illuminated by colorful lights. The view from the top of the tower is breathtaking as you can see the city. The fort is a perfect place to enjoy the history, culture and beauty of Kurnool.

Konda Reddy Burje is situated in the Kurnool centre of the city. It is constructed in 1942 and it had more history.

Legend has it that in the 16th century, the Nawab of Kurnool defeated Konda Reddy, the last king of Alampur, and imprisoned him here. The latter escaped bv digging a subterranean passage, which is believed to go from under the Tungabhadra River all the way to the Jogulamba Temple in Alampur, 28km away. Only This Tower Remains In Kinda Reddy Fort Is Called As Konda Reddy Buruju
