Very good temple and It has a distance about 2.1 KMS to reach the Devuni Kadapa, YSR District from the Centre of Kadapa i.e., Seven Roads.

"Kadapa," is named after the word Gadapa which is originated from the words "Devuni Gadapa" means "Threshold of the entrance for The Lord Venkateswara Swamy". The Idol of the Lord Venkateswara has been established by Kripacharya, hence the ancient name of Devuni kadapa is also mentioned in puranas as "Kripavathi Kshetram". Sri Lakshmi Venkateshwara Temple stands as an example of Vijayanagara architecture. It is said that Tallapaka Annamacharya visited this place and all the Sankaracharyas of the Advaita Mutt and the great poet Kshetrayya also visited this place. This temple was undertaken by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam.

Devuni Kadapa is a part of Kadapa city and a historical site.

It's called "DEVUDI GADAPA" in telugu. Devotees visits this place 1st and then varahaswamy temple in Thirumala and then Venkateswara swamy temple. It's the place where Venkateswara swamy becomes statue firstly. Now this temple is under TTD.

Sri venkateswara swamy temple in kadapa, temple opens at 6am to 12.30pm and evening at 4.30pm to 8.30pm. On Friday abishekam commences on 7 to 9am

Lord Sri Venkateswara was laid by Krupacharya.
This place is also called Hanuma Kshetra.
This place is the first drive way to Lord Thirumala Venkateswara.
In previous years, the devotees take Dharshan of this temple then only they will go to Thirumala.
Here we can find a pond called Hanumadh Pushkarini.
The kings Salwa Narasimha Rayalu and King Srikrishna Deva Rayalu donated huge wealth to this temple.
Every day many devotees will take Dharshan here.
Before taking the Dharshan of Lord Venkateswara we must take the Dharshan of Feet neat Dwaja Sthambha.

Due to COVID cont get Hanuman ji Darshan. But the priest's in temple are very good. Had Darshan of Balaji . One more thing here we can have darshan of Hanuman and Balaji in one daity . Front side Balaji backside Hanuman in one idol . Also this place is door to lard Venkateswara (Tirumala) so called as DeVUni Gadapa .

It's one of the old and important temple in Kadapa. Devotees used to visit the temple before Tirumala temple. It is known as Devuni Gadapa I.e God's main door. Cleanliness and Social distancing maintained. It's about 2 kms from the highway. Temple closes at 12.30pm and reopen at 3.30 pm.

Devuni Kadapa History and Architecture
The Idol of Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy has been installed by Kripacharya. In Puranas, Devuni Kadapa is mentioned as “Kripavathi Kshetram”. In olden days, Pilgrims visit this temple before starting their journey towards Tirumala. This temple is another best example of Vijayanagar culture and architecture.

One should not miss the design on the Temple walls and sculptures on the pillars and Mukha mandapam inside the temple.

There is a Lizard sculptured on the roof of the temple, belief is that whoever touches this Kasi Balli (Lizard) will get rid of Lizard’s ill effects (Dosham). It is a belief, if a lizard falls on a human body, then it is considered as a Dosham and should be rectified.

Temple is at Patha Kadapa area, which means Old Kadapa.

4.5 km from Kadapa Bus station.
145 km From Tirupati, it takes 2 hours 45 mins by Road.

Excellent temple of construction.
But it is need to be developed.
