Previously known as Tilak Maidan, got uts name in 1987 when Nehru Gold Cup was hosted here. With foreign world cuppers in the then small quite town of Siliguri, got it's 1st Stadium. Later on this stadium went on to host major tournaments like Airlines Gold Cup, the famous derby between East Bengal and Mohun Bagan, Exhibition Cricket matches. Local tournaments organised by Siliguri Mahakuma Krira Parishad is being hosted here for football, cricket and athletics. It jumped into limelight when in 2023, it hosted Arijit Singh for a concert. Recently in news for hosting the Siliguri Premier League, the T20 tournament in liem with The IPL.

The Kunchanjungha Stadium is known as Kunchanjungha Staduim. It built in 1980's. It is a very old stadium in Siliguri. Its old name is Tilak Maidan but with the passage of time its name has been changed and it is now known as Kanchenjunga Stadium. Every year North Bengal festival is held here, besides there are various events.

Nice place near Siliguri Venus more. All types of fair held here. Today we visit this stadium for a Book Fair. I enjoyed the fair

This is a distic leave paly ground in Siliguri. This maintenance is municipal corporation of Siliguri. Kanchanjunga stadium is a football and Cricket stadium for distic leave. Cleaning is very good, ground condition and maintenance is very good, very high level sitting area are available, security high, gaust room available, gaust room is clean and good.

Built in the 1980s, the stadium holds a capacity of 40,000,[1] and currently the home ground of Siliguri Premier League side Kanchenjunga FC. It also hosted two kolkata derby matches in 2016 I-league.

Gostha Behari Paul was an Indian professional football player. He moved to Kolkata when he was an infant and lived there till his very last days. Nicknamed as 'Cheener Pracheer' (The Wall of China) he was one of the best defenders of contemporary Indian football. He started playing for Kumartuli A.C. aged 11, and joined Mohun Bagan at the age of 16. In 1921, Gostho Paul was honored with the captaincy of the Mohun Bagan football team, and he remained as the club captain for next 5 years. In 1924, he was also appointed as the captain of the Indian national football team. He was the first Indian footballer to be honoured with the Padma Shri, on April 27, 1962. Mohun Bagan awarded him the Mohun Bagan Ratna posthumously, which is given to former greats of that club, in 2004. An archive was launched in his honour and named the Gostho Paul Archive, inside the Mohun Bagan club premises.

It's a good place for sports people and lovers. Now it's a little bit old and needs repair and upgrades.

Yes it's to good.... food quality is very nice...and testy........

Attended a marriage reception in the halls below the stadium seating tiers .. quite spacious and looks well with decoration with the kitchen space quite large too!! Car parking space adequate for such occasions!! Being an ex sportsman I checked the stadium turf too and found the ground was not hard as liked by sports persons but the grass had weeds intermingled and should be taken care of as matches of national and international stature are held there!! Overall impressive!!
