Gunavati Temples গুণবতী মন্দির(Group of Three Hindu Temples by Queen Gunavati) - Udaipur, Gomati District, Tripura, India

Bang in the middle of Udaipur are these nicely preserved and properly maintained temples. There were no deities inside the temple, and can be spotted while going to the old palace ruins.

A set of 3 Terracota temples (non functional) that is preserved well by ASI ( Archeological Survey of India). These pure brick and limestone/ clay has stood upto to time and weather for over 400 years. This is just a rickshaw ride away from Bus stand. This is accessible by a small wicket gate and is open from 6 to 6. Stroll around, take pictures and appreciate the workmanship. Kindly save these in good health for the future generations to enjoy, DON'T deface or scribble your names, A Must Visit and a short journey from Agartala.

इन मंदिरों का निर्माण गोविंदा माणिक्य की पत्नी रानी गुणवती द्वारा 1668-69 में करवाया गया था। लाल ईंटो से बने ये मंदिर नार्थ -ईस्ट की विशेष वास्तु शैली पर आधारित है. इन तीन मंदिरो के बारे में कहा जाता है की ये ब्रह्मा ,विष्णु ,महेश को समर्पित थे। मंदिरो के दर्शन की कोई एंट्री टिकट नहीं है। त्रिपुरा सुंदरी मंदिर के रास्ते में त्रिपुरा की विरासत की झलक दिखने वाला एक अच्छा ऐतिहासिक स्थान है जो कि विजिट करने लायक है।
