The barrage is long of 38 gates and has a beautiful road across it. The traffic is well modulated. Its a good drive to see the river ..the greenery around and big water flowing ..

Last year's 2022 Waingana river barrage so wonderful place is first time my visit and but you to give can't there place friend and family student picnic visit me and my bro chichdoh barrage wow outstanding and Really I liked it's placed but you visit in month7 rainy season Area view incredible overfull water 🌏🌏🌨🌧☔🏝👬👭👫🌴🌳🌱🏞🏝👫

Discovered this place when I visited the nearby Markhanda Temple. Saw a Huge structure Built onto the river, it caught my attention from 10 kms far. I enquired locals of how to get here and they guided me with the route. Amazed by the volume of the barrage and the flora and Fauna within the region. Really a good place to visit with friends and family. You can walk over the barrage, there is a route constructed throughout the barrage and open for public to visit. Guards are present everytime to prevent mishaps from happening. Overall a nice experience , specially if you have keen interest in such structures and want to know about them more.

It is n bridge situated at #vainganga & godavri river near chamorshi's village markhanda. It provides water to so many villages for farming. It taken huge area.
