Jakhoo Temple

During my visit to shimla visited this very beautiful temple. It is situated on Jakhu Hill, Shimla's highest peak, 2.5 km (1.6 mi) east of the Ridge at a height of 2,455 m (8,054 ft) above sea level. There is a Lord Hanuman's statue about 108 feet height situated there which is also a tourist attraction here. Just one advice if your are travelling just by walking to the temple that take the water bottle with you and just don't keep any thing visible to monkeys 🐒 as they will take it from you if they have seen that. Because we have seen the friendly behavior of monkeys there🤣. So just keep your things in you pocket or inside the bag.

It is one of the ancient temples of lord Hanuman in Shimla and it is located at the highest peak of Shimla.

You can reach this temple by walking from the Ridge, Shimla by covering approx 2 to 2.5 Km.

After reaching the temple premises you will have a stunning 360° view of Shimla from there.

You can also use a ropeway or cab to reach this temple.

Must visit place while in Shimla. The rope way ride to temples gives you awesome views of Shimla city.

Temple place was very quiet and has giant statue of Lord Hanuman.

Beware of monkeys, please don’t keep anything in hand not even mobile, and if possible even remove spectacles. We had hard time getting my daughter’s spectacle which she was wearing

A must see in Shimla. Take the cable car up the mountain and see the interesting statue and temple. Fantastic experience.

I recently visited the Jakhoo temple and I must say, it was truly an amazing experience. As soon as I stepped foot in the temple premises, I was greeted with positive vibes that filled my heart with a sense of peace and serenity.

The view from the top was simply breathtaking, with panoramic vistas that stretched out for miles and miles.

But what really took my breath away was the Jakhoo cafe. Nestled amidst the serene surroundings of the temple, this cozy little spot was the perfect place to sit back, relax and take in the beauty of nature all around. And the food and beverages on offer were simply delicious.

All in all, the Jakhoo temple is not just a holy place for devotees, but also a veritable paradise for anyone who loves photography and wants to capture some truly stunning shots. With so much beauty and tranquility in one place, I can't recommend this location enough. So if you're looking for a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, then this is definitely the place to be!

We went by ropeway just to had the experience and it was great! You can see whole of the shimla from there! It saves a lot of time.

There is a huge statue of lord Hanuman. And a temple where you can give Prasad(offerings to the god) .

Drive to this place is scenic.The temple is a calm and powerful place.The Hanuman statue soars over the whole of shimla.Seeing the sunset from this temple is beautiful.But beware of monkeys...they pluck our phones and bags in exchange for some snacks.

Jakhu Temple is a very great place for tourists . You can one here any month but you have to don't scare from monkeys 🐒 🐒 . Don't take any thing in your hands , don't wear googles otherwise they snatch it from you and then you have to give them a packet of prasad { chane) . Also keep your mobile safe from them. Don't scare from them , walk and behave like as normal .
