Beautiful place for camping. The beauty of this place is, water surrounded by hills. I loved the blue color of water and sunrise. It's very near to Hyderabad around 150 km. Perfect roads for long drive.

Best place to Hangout, We came for Camping amazing place you will have enough space for everything.
We came on a weekend just to have camping and hangout sometime, we started at afternoon from Hyd and reached Lake Camping ground by 5:30 , we started setting up tent and started barbeque parallely.
Chilled out for sometime and late night we started the Camp fire .
Please carry all the required equipments because you need to travel a long distance from camping ground if you forgot anything incase.
Totally amazing experience, will share some pics too so that can have glampse of the place

Koilsagar Dam

The Koilsagar Dam is located in Koilsagar Village of the Deverakadra Mandal in the Mahabubnagar District of Telangana. Swelling with water, the Koilsagar Dam is one of the most preferred tourist attractions of Mahabubnagar.
The Koilsagar Dam is a medium sized irrigation project which was constructed at a cost of Rs 80 crores during the glorious period of the Nizams during 1945-48. The British rulers had proposed the idea of constructing a dam to collect and store the excess water in region at the catchment area of the River Krishna for irrigation purposes. The first stone of foundation for the project was laid in the year 1947 soon after the country got Independence. The Koilsagar Dam’s construction was completed in 1954 and it was inaugurated by the honourable Agricultural Minister of India, Shri K. M. Kharju.
This project is located at about 12 Kilometers from Devarakadra Mandal headquarters between the districts Mahaboobnagar and Raichur. The Koilsagar project was constructed to serve the irrigation needs up to about 12 thousand acres. This dam can be called a beauty with a purpose, as it is constructed in a very picturesque location in between two mountains on the Peddavagu River. Near the project is a beautiful guest house which opens up to a beautiful view of the project.
The Koilsagar Dam, which is about 8 kilometers from the Koil konda village, stretches its power across the Peddavagu River, which is a minor tributary of the River Krishna. We can find some elegantly curved hills on the western stretch, making it a perfect tourist spot.

Koilsagar is a best place to enjoy the weekends,but if u plan any food or something u should carry everything if forget anything u should travel again nearly 15 km to get anything.plan safely forest animals rounds there plan grouply not single.

You can bring your friends here and also go on top of the dam where you'll have a breathtaking view and id suggest this place for watching the sunrise sitting on top of the dam...

The place is amazing for camping during the winter. You can carry your tents, set a camp fire, and dance under the night stars. You'll wake up to a view of green hills and crops. Drive your cars there. You can also go for a small trek around the dam.

Koilsagar lake gives you a pleasant view of check dam, reservoir and the river. It looks mesmerizing that the green hills spread around it. There is a camping sight nearby the reservoir and we can chill out there an entire day with campfire and all the stuff.

Beside Koilsagar there is Veerabadhra Temple called KoilKonda. Every year there is a celebration (Jathara) held by nearby villagers.
This medium reservoir with live water storage capacity of 60 million cubic meters, was constructed on the peddavagu tributary of Krishna river.

Koilsagar lake gives you a pleasant view of check dam, reservoir and the river. It looks mesmerizing that the green hills spread around it. There is a camping sight nearby the reservoir and we can chill out there an entire day with campfire and all the stuff.Koil Sagar Project And Dam...... A great place to spend a weekend with family and friends.... But need to go in the evening time before sunset so that we can make all the arrangements there before it gets dark.... Unfortunately we reached there at 9 PM and felt some difficulty in gathering the sticks for camp fire🔥... And finally we made it.... Had a party there.... And enjoyed that night.... And it's better to take all the stuff you want before you reach the place... Because it gets difficulty to get the stuff once you reach there....
At morning after we woke up, done some photoshoot at the lake view. Visited the Dam. And finally winded up.

Overall the trip was awesome.

Just 150km from City. We had a good ride on the Banglore highway, the best part of this whole trip were the pieces of joy and calmness while riding your bike, the early morning sunrise admist small hills which reflected on the water, the cold weather out which chiseled into the tent the moment we opened the tent, the barbecue chicken pun intended, the strategy for pitching an simple tent. All in after all life is small bits of happiness and the effort we make up for realising it.
