I am simply impressed by this place. Interior is interesting. Staff is polite and helpful. Service is fast. The best thing about this place is the food. Your tummy will be full but your tongue will crave for more. Especially the dessert with meals. It was brilliant. Reasonably priced. And can be crowded during peak hours and weekends. Plan accordingly.

Had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, which took me back to my childhood when i used to go to kerala for my summer holidays to visit my grandpa. The malabar chicken curry and chicken fry was especially fantastic. It all ended well with an excellent jaggery coconut custard which i highly suggest everyone should try at least once.

Our recent visit to Kerala Cafe, Baner marked an unforgettable experience. From the moment we stepped inside, we were transported to the beautiful land of Kerala. The portraits hanging on the wall add to the charm of the cafe. Their service is prompt. We sipped on a famous drink from Kerala Pineapple Kulukki and Lemon Kulukki. For appetizers, we relished spicy prawns roast, chicken leg oil fry and pomfret pollichattu. The aroma of every dish which is freshly prepared with authentic spices filled the air, and the flavors were simply divine. Don't miss their chicken meal and chicken curry with appam, what a comforting meal it was. The highlight of our visit was their Unlimited Sadya, an authentic Kerala meal served traditionally on a banana leaf. We ended our meal with coconut ice cream served in a coconut shell with creamy coconut malai. Don't forget to visit them if you love to try different cuisines across India.

I visited Kerala Cafe for the first time and being a Keralite herself, I wasn't disappointed. If you love authentic Kerala food, this is your place to go to. They also have lunch meals and sadhya. The ambience and music is good.

Food: 5/5 (Amazing)
Value for Money: 3/5 (Fairly overpriced)
Service: 3.5/5 (Iffy service)
Ambience: 5/5 (Amazing)

Beautiful place, and amazing food. I haven't been able to find seafood this good anywhere in a while. The service is iffy, even when the place is mostly empty (as it has been the two times I visited).

Fairly overpriced, I feel like none of the dishes are deserving of their price tag, great as they are. And while the ambience is great, the service also doesn't do justice to the cost.

But again, these reservations about the service and price evaporate with the first bite because the food is AMAZING.

The bad reviews I saw for the food didn't apply to what I ordered, so maybe it's hit and miss? I ordered the Prawns Spicy Roast, Prawns Coconut Milk Fry, Prawns Alleppey Curry, and the Parotta and Appa Dosa to go with them; and the Jaggery Coconut Custard. All were top-notch!

As much as I wanna gatekeep the place, I strongly suggest a visit.

Nice to place to visit if you call yourself an explorer. I've given 4 stars for food only because I'm more of spicy food's fan. That's it. And I won't count it as a drawback of this place. That's how they serve you...

I was here for lunch. Had Garden breeze and Pineapple kulukki as refreshers, both were amazing. Chicken ghee roast was spot on for spices, had it with wheat parotta. Coconut jaggery custard was lip smacking. Keep in mind 10% Service Charge is optional. Overall nice experience, will visit again to try other dishes.

We visited this place randomly one evening for dinner and we were pleasantly surprised.
The food to start with is ama-zing and we were advised to try out few new preparations by Sanjay and Bablu and we were not disappointed!!
The prawns fry in coconut milk was melting in the mouth and very tasty.
We also tried the fresh coconut ice cream, this was served in an actual coconut with mixed nuts and had very creamy texture.
And of course their filter coffee is a must try!!

We will definitely be visiting this place again and again!

I recently dined at the Kerala cafe restaurant in Baner, Pune, and it was an unforgettable experience. The ambiance of the restaurant was charming, with its dim lighting and elegant decor with a lot of paintings inspired by Kerala and its culture. The staff was courteous and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we stepped in.

The menu offered a wide variety of dishes, with a focus on seafood and Kerala dishes . We started with the Surmai Fish Pollichatu, which was rich and flavorful, followed by the Allepey prawns curry and Veg Mappas curry that was simply amazing. We finished off with the appams, malabar paratha and steamed rice and coconut icecream which was the perfect way to end the meal.

The portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable for the quality of the food and service.

Overall, I highly recommend the Kerala cafe restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in Baner. The food, service, and ambiance were all top-notch, and I can't wait to go back.

Kerala Cafe changed the place from the earlier one and shifted to this larger place.
Due the large space, it gives a completely new and nice experience.
Once on the first floor, you are received by the reception counter and then welcomed you to your seats.
Inside the dining area, it is huge. The double height celing really makes the place look huge. The dining is on 2 levels (only a step high though).
There was a reason we went for lunch at Kerala Cafe on a Thursday afternoon was their 5th Anniversary Celebration and so they had an offer on the unlimited veg meal.
The hospitality was good. The food being a meal, it was served quickly. But before the food, came the papadums and red hot water to drink.
The veg meal was delicious, I specifically loved the rice and sambar (as usual), but I also loved the rice kheer.
Over all the experience was good.
The 5th Anniversary offer is on till December 05, 2021 only and that too from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.

4.5/5
Ordered the following :
1. Buff kerala curry in coconut milk
2. Buff roast
Complimented these with appam & parottas and it was really good!
Dessert : Fresh coconut with ice cream. They give the water separately in a glass and there’s vanilla ice cream in the shell which was pretty good with the soft coconut flesh. This felt slightly overpriced though.
Ballpark price : 500 per head.
Served by Jamir who was really nice and explained everything.
Overall : Great food, ambience and service. Highly likely that you will long to visit again and try out the rest of their menu.
PS : happy hour on drinks on weekdays!

Oh boy, it’s one of the best Kerala restaurants out there, idk I’ve never been to a restaurant this good, being a Keralite, I can guarantee if you’re someone who doesn’t get a chance to eat authentic food, then I’m pretty sure your heart will be satisfied just after one bite, doesn’t matter what dish you order, but it will satisfy you.
Also point to be noted is that, it ain’t cheap, it’s rated on the higher side of the prices, and the portion is pretty small. A bit high end but definitely worth it.
