Bakhtiyar Khan Tomb

This is the tomb of general of Sher Shah Suri named Bakhtiyar Khan .
Situated in chainpur,near bhabua in district kaimoor.
This is just like replica of sher Shah Suri tomb.

The Tomb of Bakhtiyar Khan is a tomb located in the Kaimur district of the Indian state of Bihar.[1][2] It is a monument of national importance.[3]

The tomb inscription does not contain a date of construction. From the style of construction, it can be inferred that it was built during the same period as the Tomb of Sher Shah Suri.[4] It is generally accepted that it was constructed between the 16th and 17th centuries.[5]

It is an example of Indo-Islamic architecture. The tomb is an octagonal building, situated on a low plinth. The gateway is on the Eastern side of the tomb.[6]

The tomb inscription contains verses from the Quran.[1] There are about thirty graves within the tomb. In addition, there are some graves in the outer courtyard.[1]

It is located on the outskirts of Chainpur,[4] a few kilometres west of the district headquarters Bhabua.

The Tomb of Mohamad Bakhtiyar Khan near the hill adjacent to Madurana village in Chanpur block of Kaimur district. This Tomb is located 4 kilometers from Chanpur and 16 km from the district headquarter Bhabua. A small river flows adjacent to the tomb. The site is a tomb made by Bakhtiar Khan in 1568, sixteenth century. It was made by him for his last funeral after his death. The tomb is 88×70 sqr meters in area. The outer radius of the dome is 42 meters. There are 30 grave platforms in it. Mazar is open six sides, the entrance is to the east, and a total of twenty-two doors. This tomb was declared of national importance under ASI and Remains Act 1958.
According to Archaeological Buchanan, Bakhtiar Khan was the father of Fateh Khan, who had married the daughter of Sher Shah Suri.

Beautiful location and very old architecture, place is out of City area so not much tourist visit here. You can visit there easily.

बख्तियार खान रौजा देखने में शेरशाह सूरी मकबरा जैसा है लेकिन जरूरत है इसको और विकसित करने को क्योंकि यदि अच्छा पार्किंग व्यवस्था और eco park बनाया जाए तो यह पैटर्न के दृष्टि से काफी लोग घूमने आयेंगे बगल में मदुरानी पहाड़ी भी है। और यह रास्ता जगदहवा बांध और करकट गढ़ भी जाता है इस वजह से यदि इसको बिहार सर्वेक्षण विभाग ध्यान दे तो काफी विकसित होगा।
