Excellent offroading experience. The falls is nice beware of Monkeys as these are smart ones and they know to unzip and take things off your bags. Keep your valuables safe.

Pls wear comfortable sports shoes, don't wear slippers. No rest rooms & dress changing rooms. Start trekking early before 10 a.m. so that u can come back before 6 p.m. After 6 p.m. it will be too dark. Very Peaceful place. No shops in hill, pls carry water bottles & food.

We, few people planned and went to this falls. this sadasiva Kona falls have two path to reach Siva temple. One route is 25 km road path for vehicle. Another one is approximately 9 km treaking path. We got very good treaking experience. No food and water available. The yatra person have to prepare. At the top one falls and a pond is available.

3.5 hours from Chennai- best to leave at 4 if planning for a day trip- beautiful trek- moderate difficulty-couple of falls at the top- the one near the shiva temple was good- another falls further 1 km- adventurous natural trail with birds chirping, herbal scent of leaves and the creaking of bamboo trees. please avoid the days that has been mentioned in the reviews

I must first shout out "wowooo...! What an experience"
One of the best trekking place in South India. The treak starts at the bottom of the hill, the falls is located 12 km from the starting point. Either you can walk or take your bike. But taking bike is too risky as you need to cross between tough woods and also there is no road. The path is completely with rocks and muds. You need to cross some water cannels/ branch river.
No food or medical aid is available at anywhere in the path, so take what you need. Monkeys are ther so lock your bag properly and be cautious about your surrounding while having your food.
The journey starts with a check post. Where you need give your details before entering, liquors are not allowed.
There are 2 falls at the top.

Sada Siva Kona Falls is a best place of trekking lovers. The trekking is about 9 kms from down of the hill to the top. There is two main attractions here one is Lord Shiva Temple and two other natural falls. During Pournami, Amavaasai and Shivaratri many people will gather to visit lord shiva temple, other than these days there is so less people will trek in the hill. So of you ate planning to go any other day please go as group it is better to have people around you. It is perfectly safe but other than festival days there will be no shops or people's will be there to help during trekking. For now there is no good flow of water in falls, you can visit from October due to rainy season. Car and bike parking is available and there is no parking fee. Trekking difficulty level: Medium to Hard. Please take only necessary things in your bag because with more weight you can't trek easily. Water, fruits, health drinks, food etc are main necessary things here. Thank You ☺

A splendid, spectacular, serene falls in a wild location. Nearby access to Nagari Puttur by road. There are variety of trees especially, Mangoes, banana, Cashew, cycas, and a lot more in this wilderness. The rhythmic fall and flow of water though out the year, makes it almost perennial. A must go location, if you are a lover of nature. Experience the beauty of wild with your crew to add more fun.

Perfect Place for One Day Trek from Chennai and Surroundings after monsoons. 100kms from Chennai. Need to start early morning with muliple routes options from Chennai and try to reach before 10AM. Carry your food and water. Last 6 kms will be terrible with no proper roads.

Once you reach adivaram you can park start 4.5kms Trek into moderately thick rocky path forest with lots of trees and herbs. In 2 to 3 hrs we can reach the beautiful falls near Sadha siva temple. From there there will be steps climbing up which will reach to amman temple and 2nd falls with pool. Try to avoid having food near falls as there will be lot of monkeys.

Try to reach back to the ground before sunset to start back to chennai. Night drive will be hectic due to non median roads and all the vehicles overtake each other.

Note: In this beautiful forest I can see lot of plastics littered with liquor bottles. Iam not complaining but please bring back all your plastics back to preserve the forest.

Nice place to visit , enjoy and Trek. Moderate Trek is there. You can enjoy a lot. 2 water falls are there. 2 temple are there in top. Water is very clear. Super place to visit with boys. You can reach sada Siva Kona by two routes both are off roads. Especially one of those is extremely off road. If you go by that way you can have fun at the same time you have to be very careful

Wonderful trekking place. But around 1.5 km there is no road way, very difficult to drive a car. Please don't bring brand new car over here.
