১৮৫৬ সালে প্রতিষ্ঠিত শতাব্দী প্রাচীন এই বিদ্যালয় সারেঙ্গাবাদ তথা পার্শবর্তী এলাকা বাসীর কাছে নিজ গরিমায় আজও উজ্জ্বল। পুরাতন দ্বীতল বাড়িটি বামদিকে। সামনে একটি সুবৃহৎ মাঠ। যেটি ছাত্র ছাত্রীদের খেলার আদর্শ স্থান। পুরাতন বাড়িটির বাম দিকে একটি পুকুর আছে। দুটি তল মিলে প্রায় ১৬ টি শ্রেণীকক্ষ আছে। সংস্কারের অভাবে পুরাতন বাড়িটি একটু বিবর্ন হয়ে গেছে।
পুরাতন বাড়িটির দক্ষিন পার্শে নবনির্মিত বাড়িটি আছে। নবনির্মিত বাড়িটি লাল রংয়ের দুটি তল বিশিষ্ট।
নতুন ভবনটি পশ্চিমবঙ্গের সদ্য প্রয়াত মন্ত্রী শ্রী সুব্রত মুখপাধ্যায় মহাশয় কয়েকবছর পূর্বে তাঁর শ্রদ্ধেয় মাতা পিতা র উদ্দেশ্যে নির্মাণ করে দিয়েছিলেন। নতুন ভবন টির বৈশিষ্ট হলো, ভবনটির জন্য প্রয়োজনীয় বিদ্যুতের সবটাই আসে সৌরবিদ্যুৎ থেকে।
অনেক স্বনামধন্য ছাত্র এই বিদ্যালয় থেকে পড়াশুনা করে গেছেন।
বিদ্যালয়টি বজ বজ ট্রাঙ্ক রোড এর পার্শবর্তী হওয়ায় , যাতায়াতের প্রভূত সুবিধাহয়। পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকারের অনুদানকৃত এই বিদ্যালয় এ শিশুশ্রেণী থেকে দ্বাদশ শ্রেণী অবধি পড়ার সুযোগ আছে। এখানে উচ্চমাধ্যমিকে বিজ্ঞান, কলা,অর্থনীতি এই তিনটি মূল বিষয় নিয়ে পড়ানো হয়।
