One of the 12 jyotirlingas. Also the only one, I think, with a Shaktipeeth within the temple premise.

We went through the free darshan line. I would encourage people to do the same. The only reason we had a bit of wait is because the temple was closed for bhog. Once it opened,.the lines moved quickly. AND we had sufficient time to pray. Not pushed around unlike most temples.

I visited this temple recently, and it's such a pleasant place. They are currently in the process of repairing and adding new stalls for vegetables, which is a great addition. One of the best things about this temple is that there are no charges for archana. If you wish to participate in Abhishekam, make sure to wear traditional attire like a doti or lungi.

What's even more special is that they offer Annadhanam in the temple every Monday, which is a wonderful way to give back to the community. This temple truly offers a spiritual and community-focused experience.
