Manali got its name from Manu. This temple is located at the tail end of old manali. Extremely steep way to reach there. Surrounded by local and native manali homes. All in all not much to do near the temple just few cozy cafes are available around to hop on!

This is located in old Manali. It is an ancient temple. Peace inside the temple. I felt very happy . The road toward Manu temple is congested,but you can see the market around the round. You will get woolen ,khadi, jute, cotton, clothes at a cheap and best price. I bought 4 shirts and one jacket. I hope if you people go there you will enjoy the place. Snow fall takes place in the middle of Dec till the end of January.

The fascinating architecture of the Manu Temple is a pagoda style ( tiered tower wooden roof) Just sit here peacefully to absorb the tranquillity as you breathe in the fresh air and enjoy the pleasant greenery around.

The Manu Temple is located in old Manali, 3 km from bus stand but I visited here from Hidimba devi temple (only 1.5 km) you can visit here by walking or by any vehicle but remember the way is steep uphill. You will enjoy as there are so many shops and cafes all the way. There is no entry fee for this.

More than the temple itself it is the surrounding huts and houses that have always mesmerised me with the stone roof tops and stone walls . Beautiful place. Roads are narrow , so taking car would be difficult . Bikes can go easily till temple.
