There are two temples here both side of the river but both are good. In dry season you can cross river by walk but rainy you need to travel 14 km . The pics people posting are of two different temples

Lord Vaidyanatha Swamy and goddess Kamakshi are located in this temple. The Sri Chakram at Lord Kamakshi temple is installed by Sankaracharya.
The temple is very peaceful.

There are multiple idols of many different gods present around the temple.

One of the must visit divine places around Kadapa.

Quite village on the banks of Penna river. Old houses around the temple taking us back by centuries. Quiet temple with Goddess Kamakshi and Shiva as lord Vaidhyanathan. Many intricately carved statues kept along the aisle, sadly many were broken by the invading moghul armies, with nose, hands and faces chiseled away. But still their beauty is visible. Friendly priest did Pooja for us in a slow and very sincere way. Villagers tried to speak to us though we could not understand their language flow

PUSHPAGIRI

Pushpagiri is on the banks of Pennar (Pinakini) 16 Kms from Cuddapah City. It is well known for its numerous temples. Vaishnavas call it as Madhya Ahobhilam and Saivas as Madhya Kailasam.

The Amrita Sarovar would be a thrilling experience, according to local legend, about its sanctity – when Garuda was carrying nectar from Indra Loka, one drop of it fell at this place and turned the pool into a sacred one. One day an old farmer vexed with his wretched life jumped into the pool to commit suicide. The fall transformed him into a young man. He was so astonished by this and made his wife and oxen to take dip in the pool. They were also turned into young.

The news of the sacred pool spread all over the place and all people started thronging at this place to become young. The news reached Satya Loka, Brahma invoked the help of Lord Vishnu & Lord Siva. They instructed Anjaneya to close the pool. Anjaneya dropped a hill in the pool, but instead of sinking the hill started floating like a flower. Lord Vishnu & Lord Siva decided to clamp their feet at the ends. The imprint of the foot of Siva became famous as Rudrapada and that of Vishnu’s as Vishnupada.

Pushpagiri is now called as a second Hampi, is one of the important Advaitha Mutts established by Sankaracharya and is the only place in Andhra Pradesh where the holy Peetham of Sankaracharya is located.

The largest and best known among temples, is the Chennakesava Temple, which according to the earliest inscriptions found  in the temple complex, dates back to 1298 A.D. The dancing Ganapati and Krishna preaching the Bhagavad Geetha to Arjuna are remarkable pieces of Art.

The annual temple festival is conducted for 10 days in March-April.

Other temples of interest here include Trikuteswara, Durga, Shiva, Rudrapada and Devi, which are remarkable for their architectural precision and excellent images.

Most beautiful and neglected temple town near to Kadapa, once a flourished agraharam with a native jagadguru peetham, Sri shankaracharya sanctified the kamakshi temple with the pratishta of sri chakra in front of the mother kamakshi sannidhi, has a spacious temple for vaidyanadha swamy, which houses Lakshmi chennakeshava and dhanvantari on the walls of vaidyanadha swamy. Presently the temple is under ASI. A bridge connecting the temple with chennakeshava swamy temple will boost tourism. Giri pradakshina started recently to the rudrapada and the hill temple on the other bank of pinakini. But, visiting srikamakshi and vaidyanadha swamy also must be encouraged.

One of the most ancient temples in this land, not given its due. Its one of those temples shiva and vishnu's idols are beside each other in different sanctum. There is no board or direction or any other indication leading to the temple. The road is a single lane narrow road.

A very nice place to visit. Here the temple has a history that a very few people knows and cool and calm place candidates bring family. The environment is so good in winter very cool and hot in summer. Can see in photos group of fishes playing in water. Every one can enjoy it. Lord kamakshi bless us can believe on her. This is a very peaceful place.

Old temple beside penna river

The temple complex is located at 380 metres (1,000 ft) above the sea level and covers an approximate area of 7.5 square kilometres (2.9 sq mi). There is lush greenery surrounding the hamlets that include in the temple complex with crops watered from the rain as well as the river year round.

Despite the hot tropical summers in the region, there is always water in the area due to the underwater level butted by the river. Apart from the small arid mountainous area where the mound is supposed to have fallen, the entire region is full of greenery on all sides with plenty of crops mainly paddy.

One of the most magnificent temple complexes that I have ever visited in my life. The temple complex hosts at least ten to fifteen temples. Most of the temples date back to at least a thousand years.

The sight of the Penna River from either of the shores is quite bewitching.

Very best to Cuddapah town and can be visited and returned to town the same day. A must watch destination in Cuddapah District.
