Only place I know, where you can walk in the jungle, unlike other places gypsy or elephant safari is the option.
One forest guard accompanies the group.
We were lucky to spot a deer and elephant. Heard deer barking and making other animals aware of predators. Tiger pug marks were fresh, as if it was on hunt the other night. Woodpeckers and hummingbirds could be spotted as well.

Words aren't enough to portray the beauty of this place. Serene, peaceful and beautiful are just a few words. The calmness you can experience in the Jia Bharali river while rafting is amazing. The views will give you peace and its a great stress reliever. The migratory birds and sightseeing and the sun shining on the river, wow! Just wonderful! Worth visiting maybe a thousand times! 😌😌

In my opinion nameri National Park is better than Kaziranga. While it does not have a Rhino it has lot of other things to explore. The boat ride (2 hour rafting) and the Jungle walk are a great experience... Get into the Jungle walk and return by 12 o'clock , finish lunch and then start your rafting boat ride before 1:30. This place is less crowded, reasonably priced and a great family destination.
One of the best places for Rafting in Northeast India. This one day activity would take around 3 hours. This adrenaline-charged trip downstream takes you through the rapids and lasts for almost one and a half hours. The Nameri water rafting adventure may sound like its dangerous, but is very safe for everyone, even for non-swimmers.
There are various other activities like – Fishing of the famous Golden Mahseer - The king of Indian rivers. River Jia Bhoroli of the Assam is known for the Mahseer angling. Trekking on the trails are also one of the exiting activity which can be done near the park.
Nameri is famous for, is the herds of elephants. The park have a high density of elephant population so they can also be seen grazing even outside the park areas. Nameri is also a paradise for birders as it has got over 300 birds species of Birds and among them the white winged wood duck, 04 separate species of the Hornbill, Blue-bearded Bee-eaters Plovers and Babblers are endangered species..

One of a kind. I think this would be one of the few national parks where you are allowed to go for a stroll in the park after taking a boat ride. There's a forest guard who accompanies you after obtaining all the necessary permissions and he also serves as a guide. A beautiful place for nature lovers.

Place is very fresh and beautiful.. Feeling relaxed after a boat ride there.. Very good experience.. I missed the birds because the season is not for birds.. You can come this place during the month of November December and January to enjoy the beautiful birds. The name of the river is Jiya Bhoroli. People live in near by the river are basically of Missing Tribes of Assam. I saw fisherman's activities during our ride.. The current of the water of the river normal.. The opposite side of the river is the Nameri Tiger Reserve. Hope.. Next time I will visit the forest.. Thanks to god for your beautiful creature..

We couldn’t venture in the forest because we reached late and learnt that there was no jeep Safari or anything like that. Except that they take you for a trek for about 4 to 5 hours by the forest department with a local Guide who is a forest official and must be an adventure walk

Forests are great but this one is something else. Imagine walking in a thick forest where tiger has just walked across a few hours back. Your heart is in your mouth and you are wondering if a pair of eyes are looking at you all the time. One of the best forests I have been to and there are some really beautiful birds that you will be just blown away photographing them.
