Hotel Willow Banks

Willow banks is undoubtedly the best hotel on the Mall Road. I researched slot before booking as we were a group of friends we wanted some place very central - right on the Mall Road so that we can be in the midst of the fun . We came across this hotel and loved it as they have some fantastic eateries too. Their cafe seemed very cute and I read hotel had beer brewing too. Our visit was lovely. The four days we stayed here was enjoyable. Property is very well maintained and also retains its classic charm. The food servicing is good. The in-house microbrewery was my favourite. Totally loved the vibe! From food to ambience. Everything amazing . The stay was very comfortable. I loved the spa too.

Premium property with gorgeous view... well designed and maintained well. I really liked their interiors.. so calming and the rooms are pretty spacious. Ideal honeymoon destination and also great for friends .. they have everything in-house.. fantastic bar. Good luxury spa..and a cafe.. I loved their roof top sheesha bar! So good .. one of the best places in Mall Road. Price wise too it makes complete sense. It’s just rightly priced. Hospitality was great .. staff looked after us well 👍

Perfect place to relax unwind and enjoy … a good food space .. nice restaurants in side of the property.. eighteen 71 was my favourite . Best Chinese food in shimla.. the beer is excellent. The hotel is quite large with a lot of interesting activities..the best part was great service and sweet staff.. we were entertained very well.

I visited hotel willow banks on Mall Road shimla recently .. I read a lot about their eateries so I had put it on my places to stay .. I was pleasantly surprised at this property.. it’s pretty much quite central. Right on Mall Road. And easy to locate… we stayed in their family suite.. very nice spacious .. as we had a child with us. It was a good experience. Property is having the classic charm and modern amenities. I really liked their food. The restaurants are one better than the other. Their microbrewery bar is my favourite. Super decor and food … beer 🍺 especially is great.

Beautifully located .. looks at the gorgeous hills. This place is a travellers dream. Someone who loves food and hills is going to have a dream vacation here. I checked in and was greeted by good staff. Decent service. My luggage was taken up to a room that was quite spacious and had its charm with big balcony’s and woody interiors.We tried two of the in-house restaurants .. one was a bar and one a cafe. Both had food very different from each other. And food quality was good. Taste amazing.. must visit property on Mall Road that’s decently priced and offers a good comfortable stay 👌👌👌

The hotel is at a prime location on the mall road near the lift. Room was very spacious and clean. The breakfast menu has various options and very delicious too. The staff was very polite and helpful.

Blissful stay at this lovely property . I had booked for our whole family a family room and 2 balcony rooms. I have to say this is undoubtedly amazing view. So serene . The starry town of Shimla at night looks magical. The food too at the property was a hit. The best part was there was a lot of options we could choose from. An in-house cafe, bar, brewing beer place. Everything to keep us entertained. The hotel had a lovely spa too. Very clean and hygienic. Got foot and Swedish massage done. The restaurant is well located and best of all is an ideal place for family.

Everything about this hotel is top class. It was my 3 years young daughter's 1st visit to the mountains so they made it extra special with a yummy cake 🎂 with "Welcome to Himachal" written on it. Plus the upgrade was a cherry 🍒 on the top. Rooms are neat and clean. The staff are helpful and always have a sweet smile on their face.

The only thing I did not like was the condition of their Gym, I missed my workouts.

Rest everything was 💯.

So many restaurants to check within the property that you don't need to travel outside.

I will recommend anyone with a child to book this place as it has a central heating system and a heater inside the room. Makes the kiddo feel relaxed and comfortable in a cold area like Shimla.

House keeping staff was polite and good.The brekfast buffet was not worth price of 530+ taxes

Lovely stay at the hotel. It's location is also very convenient and the rooms are spacious and clean.

I had stayed here for 2 nights with my family. It is located on mall road so you can just have a stroll to see Ridge, Mall Road market, old church of Shimla. Room were specious and well maintained. Service was very good. Breakfast service was good but it need to upgrade for taste. Room had mall road view which i would say was average. Overall stay was satisfactory.
I used its travel desk to arrange my local trip and trip to manali, which was very good and well planned. It may be costly from person to person but for us it was joyful and comfortable.
Note: Being located at Mall road you can not go with your luggage directly to the hotel in your car. You need to use portar and lift for it. (I missed this information during my search for hotel)

Beautiful property … centrally well located. And the food is just out standing I would say… impressed with their cafés ..one serves nice coffeee and pizzas , they have a nice fine dine one too 💛 and the best part is they r making beer too in-house only… so fresh. The service is nice… for my sisters bday we booked and were quite happy with the overall set up!

This is a 4-Star hotel at Shimla, and one of the best I'd reckon if you are looking for one right at the heart of Shimla. A bit pricey, but worth it if you are here on a vacation. Hospitality is great so is access to both the main roads downstairs or the places to shop and see at Mall Road.
Nice cosy rooms. They even have bath tubs which are welcome in hill stations like Shimla. They set up a nice extra bed if needed. Balcony views are awesome with a full view of the Shimla hill. Room service is also great and tea feels refreshing.
This hotel is located at the prime location viz Mall Road at Shimla. So every activity or place to see in Shimla is walkable.

Every place on Mall road is walkable. You can shop and have fun, have great food at their own restaurant. Enjoyable.
Excellent food. Complimentary breakfast buffet has a nice spread. Dinner has a nice dim lit ambience with a variety of cuisine options available. They play sports on TV but without much volume so it's fun but quiet.

The place is situated at the heart of Mall Road. Views are extremely scenic, both exterior and interior. They've very well behaved and professional staff.

Room aesthetics and size was good. Cleanliness and services were excellent. They've musical programs going on in the cafe around evening, which you get to hear faintly from your rooms. Adds a nice soothing vibe to your stay.

Food variety was good enough for a stay of 4/5 days. Taste was excellent.

Yes, this hotel is on the above average costlier side. Room and food charges will cost higher than average. That should not come as a surprise as the cost is perfectly justified.

For people looking to explore, they've a bar, cafe and spa. As well as a travel desk.

5 stars just for the location, extremely hospitable staff, food is amazing too. Compared to most of the hotels nearby, this is the best option and quite affordable rates too. Bathrooms are clean and rooms have amazing view of the city.

Willow banks is my first chose to stay while visiting shimla. I have been to Shimla 7-8 times and stayed more than 5 times here. Perfect location and a great hotel. As compared to others they hve the best staff and the facilities are class apart.

Excellent location, good ambiance and value for money. Having the Deluxe rooms was a good idea at lobby level, the balcony next to the next family rooms and quick access to mall road made it a memorable trip. Cafe and Brew we're equally cool. Loved the coffee. The staff was super helpful and always ready to assist.

The location of the hotel is an added advantage -- right on Mall Road. Visited the hotel yesterday to have the bakery stuff.. Hotel bakery was too good.Excellent selection of pastries and cupcakes. If you love sweet treats, you need to visit. Happy with bakery 🎂🧁 stuffs. kudos to bakery chef

Lovely property. It’s located in the Mall Road and is beautiful. We stayed in a family suite room which was really luxurious . Had a very nice scenery as the view. The hotel staff was very nice and sweet. They looked after us so well. The suite is ideal for families or a group of friends. It’s a huge room , well spaced out, with a sitting area too. The food we were served in the outside cafeteria was absolutely delicious. The cafeteria was very lively and I really enjoyed it .
