Malampuzha Snake Park

A wonderful place for a one day trip, u can spend a whole day there, rope car, snake park, aquarium, rock place dam view, dam garden,

Only 10 to 15 varieties are available.. But no words for King Cobra and Python...And also one crocodile is there....

First time visiting a snake park. We got to see and know about multiple different types of snakes and which of those are venomous and non-venemous. The center rescues snakes so it is a good initiative by them. Place was neatly maintained and i would recommend this place to those interested in learning about snakes.

Superb place, though it was tiring due to heat and lots of walking but indeed it is an awesome place to visit if you are in Pallakad, Kerala. Tickets are also nominal (30 INR for Adults). Overall really good place to visit.

Carrying water will surely help you.

Got a chance to witness the vinyl snake outside the snake park too in Malampuzha.

Patk is divided in to three areas and it is located opposite to the car parking zone.

They have a collection of snakes with description which is very informative.Do visit if you are in the area.They also have a crocodile.

Malampuzha Snake Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre is maintained by the Kerala Forest Department, Palakkad. Various poisonous and non-poisonous reptiles are exhibited in the Snake Park, but with utmost care of them. Apart from snakes, there are tortoises and a crocodile exhibited here. The main crowd-puller in this park are the two King Cobras that are kept in two Air-conditioned rooms. There are instructions board available (though full of spelling mistakes), which shows what to do in case of a Snake bite, and the lifestyles of snakes. There is a small stall inside the Snake Park, named "Pugmark Green Shop", run by the Forest Development Agency, Parambikulam Tiger Reserve. Natural honey, Cocoa, Coffee, Sandalwood Oil, Jute bags and various Bamboo products are available for sale in this stall. These products are manufactured by the tribals people living in the Parambikulam Tiger Reserve, Kerala.

Little hot during summer, but adjustable..

Good place but could be maintained more you can have a group time here because it's quite a beautiful place on the edge of dam for views and serenity

Good tourist destination. It's usually extremely sunny, carry your essentials. Ropeway is fun. Water level at dam was good when we went. Overall must try once in PGT
