Giant eel Morea

This is really a special place to see a special animal. This location has specialty for its giant eel. Previously, there were so many giant eels here, but earthquake blocked the water sources for this giant eels. If you are looking for a place to enjoy the cozy and quite environment, I can tell that this is the suitable place for that purpose.

Crystal clear water (maybe direct from the mountain). And friendly eel eventhough their big. Bring egg and they will come to you. You can touch it but dont bring them out from water as well it might hurt them.

A stream with a small pond which is home to several moray eels. The local people feed them and they are not afraid or dangerous. The eels sleep during the day, hiding under the rocky wall of the pond, but a local can come and lure them out with a raw egg for amusement of visitors. Interesting to see the big animal swim around like and follow the treat like a puppy. The price we paid was 20 000, 10 000 per egg.

So so unique that they have eels (approx 50 upto 100 of them as they are mostly hiding beneath the wall of the pond) in the well irigated pond, yet so many locals wash their clothes and even curtains with detergent etc. I think the detergent is the reason why the eel is so smooth. LOL. but, the water spring is magnificently clear and refreshing.

Well, it's a village with lots of giant eel morea. The kids play alot in the water, and the mother wash their clothes with the eel 😅. The water is very clear.

So exciting experience holding and hugging the giant eel morea. Good spot for healing.
