Gubuk Ndeso Homestay

This homestay was lovely - we chose this place specifically for one night so that we could go to Bromo and it was in a great place for that. The staff helped us book with someone for that excursion and it was super easy. We liked that we were able to pay by card too, which was a bonus. The place itself is placed in a lovely setting. We were able to order food for the night from a nearby restaurant and it was easy for them to find us. The breakfast was nice too - the staff were super nice during all of our interactions as well.
The bathroom could do with a bit of love I think. There was a cat that needed a lot of love and cleaning, we sure hope the hotel can look after it.

Perfect accommodation if you’re looking to do the Bromo climb. Beautiful views. Staff very accommodating. Breakfast basic, could be improved.

We stayed for a night and the next morning we went to Bromo. The hosts were so polite and they gave us the breakfast after we returned from Bromo. The location is very good and the view is astonishing. Only 35min from Bromo parking area. Again... very nice people and a five star service. The room and the bathroom were clean and tidy. The village is very beautiful and the people are very nice and they just give you their smiles. Recommend to be with a scooter so you can get around with the locals and cruise on these scenery roads.

PS: At the entrance of the hotel there is one small restaurant at the right. Super delicious traditional food.

This is our second time staying at Gubuk Ndeso Homestay and we definitely would love to stay here again.

The access to this hotel is good and safe, the road and scenery is stunning.

The hotel itself is very comfortable, the room is spacious, clean, the bathroom is large and very clean, the hot water is always on with nice pressure. Every room have a garden and we always stay in room 1-3 that have a mountain view.

The food is very delicious, we love the fried rice, soto ayam, mendoan and the price is reasonable.

A very simple bungalow yet I would give it a five star for the very kind service and clean room. If you're looking for a cheap room just to stay before going to Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park, this is a very perfect place for that. They also provide Jeep tours to the national park but you have to contact them first to ask for a Jeep tour. They gave a very nice breakfast, a simple fried rice with egg but it's very delicious. They also have a small pantry that all guests could use, so you could save some money by cooking your food there. And you know what, they provides free instant noodles, tea and coffee in the pantry. Overall, I really recommend this place for a brief, cheap stay.

suitable for those who come to bromo for the first time and do not want to deal with the steep and winding roads of bromo.
we got the king deluxe room with extra bed. hot water available, clean room and bath room, smart tv with netflix etc. , friendly and helpful staff, fried rice and egg for breakfast, free tea and coffee, enough parking space, there is a warung for dinner at the entrance, also fresh milk accross the stteet. in simple words: this place is good.

Great little place with super helpful staff who helped us arrange motorbike, tours and trains. Rooms are spacious with hot showers, you don't need AC. Great location for visiting My Bromo although bear in mind it's about a 40min drive

A nice simple hotel with outdoor seating. Water is hot and has enough strength, wifi is working, there is a small shared kitchen you can use. Price around 350k / night for a double room.

One of the best homestay I've ever stayed in. The room is quite spacious, clean (even hardly any dust under the bed), with amazing view right from your window. Price is good, compared to what you get. Even price for meals you can order for dinner/lunch is quite cheap. Taste is not bad at all. There's self-service kitchen available for every 3 rooms if you wanna make your own meal or drink.

The owner can help arrange for jeeps to take you up to mount Bromo with reasonable price. But even if you only wanna spend your time staycationing here, you won't loose anything. The ambience is relaxing. Very good to release your stress. And right in front of the homestay is Lava Hill Resort where there's some kind of amusement park to entertain your children. They got a pretty big ferris wheel where you can see Madura strait from the top of it (if it's bright enough).

All in all, it's worth the money. I wish to be back here again sometime in the future.

Really for 20 minutes more drive to mountain, which can be arranged of course by the super helpful host, and you would need a 4x4 anyway to go to the park itself, you have a really beautiful room in a stunning landscape, with hot water, lot of space, a nice patio, and a comfortable clean big bed with blankets enough to keep you warm.
The room is super clean and every single one of those things is hard to find near bromo especially for that price. Checkout is at 12:00 so you can have breakfast, which was good too, and a shower after you come back from the bromo mountain hike, and they are both strongly needed!
Trust me if you want to enjoy your bromo tour this is the perfect stay, the host can arrange for you everything from transportation even to Surabaya airport to tours to meals everything at a reasonable price.

Very good place to stay, nice clean spacious rooms with hot water, comfortable beds and nice views. Breakfast was good, they organised for us a jeep trip to sunrise at vulcano at good price and made breakfast package for the trip. Owner is very nice and helpful guy. We really liked it there and recommend.

Nice homestay and friendly owner.
The view around the homestay is beautiful. It is surrounded by mountains. It is in the middle of bromo and the center of the area. The temperature is nice and sometimes quite cold.
The room was standard for a homestay, but it was clean. The hot shower sometimes works, and sometimes not. Mostly it works on daytime only 😁
The room was quite big but they need to add more furniture and facilities I think since there were only one small table and they gave only one small towel😆😄, but they said they will improve it. They provided a small kitchen where you can make coffee, tea, or instant noodles.
There is a warung near the homestay with quite cheap price but good food.

If you wanna enjoy the sunrise at penanjakan bromo, you can start from the homestay at about 2.30 or 3 am

Super clean guest house. Love the view from the terace. Wish we can stay longer there. Nasi goreng fo breakfast was delicious. Recommended guest house in Bromo.

Host is such a friendly person. I liked him very much. He told us a lot about sightseeing and gave us many useful tips. Room is very clean.
Breakfast is bread with butter and jam, boiled egg, coffee and fruits.

Friendly and helpfull staffs..30 minutes away from mountain Bromo, so we could enjoy the countryside.
