Food: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ the best soto in Semarang, i ate 2 portion. Combination of sweet and tasty

Place: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ quite large actually but always full with customers, so you probably must wait for 5-10 mins

Price: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ cheap and i like “the moving cashier” - the owner came to our table with a bundle of money... they said his father also do the same thing long time ago. It becoming their signature.

A nice place to have breakfast. This authentic taste is worth to try.

Always love to going back to this restaurant. The soto only open in the morning. This was the best soto in Semarang. A bit pricey but it is worth to taste !
They have a lot additional like tempe goreng, perkedel, satay, chicken wing fried in soto spice, etc.

You can say that soto is a "soup", and this one is chicken soup. Taste delicious and the side dishes are too. I'll say that this one is one of the best in Semarang. Always crowded but the service is quite fast and the waiters are responsive.

One of the best soto (traditional chicken soup) in town, with plenty of side dish option. If you go there you should try the most wanted "ati ampela"

You have not truly visited Semarang (the city of soto) if you have not come here. I think it is the 3rd generation now and the taste has changed slightly since the old lady (2nd generation) passed away but you can easily distinguish the taste compared to any other Semarang sotos.
Yes, they put some coconut milk and turmeric (hence the yellow-ish colour and umami taste) that put them aside from the other sotos but some have tried to copy them and failed miserably. So I guess they got some secret ingredients that we can never know about and can just enjoy from their bowls.

Don't forget to try their fried tempe & perkedel (mashed potato cake). So addictive!

Great taste, and for the record, they've kept the quality going for over THIRTY years. Remodelled the place several times, but the taste remains incredibly delicious. There's also a number of side dishes, including quail egg satay ('sate telor puyuh'), Tempeh, and fried chicken wings. The toilet is... a sad excuse for a toilet, really. But the best thing about this place is that it's CHEAP.

Lovely. The services, the foods, the atmosphere, affordable price. Top notch! For anyone who wants to find something to eat near Lawang Sewu area, this place is highly recommended. Only for around 9-10 minutes ride to reach the place by car / online transport 👏🏼
