Kilometer Nol Monument

This is the Kilometer 0 monument which is only located in Sabang and Merauke. There are many people selling souvenirs around here such as keychains and clothes. If only the place was better maintained.

Every indonesian should visit this place. The track about 30 km from the City to go to Kilometer Nol is lil bit challenging because of up-downhill track. But believe me the road is well condition. After you visit this place is like a lifetime achievement

Sabang is a small island in the Aceh Province. But from this place, the Indonesia legacy is starting. This monument is symbol of starting point of Indonesia. You can reach this place about 1 hour from port of Sabang. In here, you can print the "certificate" of Zero Point of Indonesia. You can also buy any merchandises and enjoy fresh coconut or "gorengan", special snack for Indonesian people. The atmosphere of this place is very peaceful, and enjoying the sunset is the best choice.

The location of this monument is at the westernmost tip of Weh Island, at this monument you can take pictures with direct views of the vast expanse of ocean, around the monument there are also many stalls selling souvenirs and food, then there are also unusual souvenirs in the form of certificates indicating that you have visited to kilometer zero, the certificate must be purchased at a price of 30k, around the monument there is also a prayer room and toilet, sometimes monkeys appear around kilometer zero but don't worry because the monkeys are not fierce, then make sure if you go to kilometer zero don't be too late because the day is getting dark and no light.

Finally got here alhamdulillah!! Came to visit this monument in the morning.. all the souvenir shops and coffee shops are still closed. Nice view, we can view hindian ocean from here..

No ticket needed, it's a very west of Indonesia (KM 0)

The monument is enourmous with a cool sea line in front so great and even more special because its a outter line of Indonesia. There is a souvenir store a round and a mosque and also a stair view to the great waves hitting the rocks. There is so many things you can enjoy here. And you can get a sertificate too for your visits

Probably the furthest place from Sabang town. But it's worth the drive. The local guide informed that this is the starting point of Indonesia and the furthest West of the country. The symbolic tower is really tall and eye catchy. Don't know whether the public is allowed to climb.
Recommended place to visit and relax in the wind.
There is a musolla for Muslims to pray and abundance of small shops selling a variety of garments. You can enjoy coconut drinks here and for those who love coffee, there's a variety of it.

You will witness a perfect sunset if the weather is nice You can also find coconut, fried banana and rujak here. There are also a new walking track to the jungle now

Views are nice. You can also see Rondo Island, the most western but un-habitated island. The food was good. You can get coconut, fried banana, rujak, and many more. There are a lot of food stalls.
You can also get a certificate. It cost about USD3 when I was there.

One of the best places to visit on Sabang island to witness the sunset. It was a memorable day. At the same time you can buy some souvenirs for your family, friends, coworkers or whoever. I wish I can visit this place one more time 😊🥰

Zero kilometer of Indonesia, nice view for sunset, its about 30 km from Sabang. Riding becak motor (motorcycle with carriage) it took about 1 hour or more.

Poor cellular signal (mostly no signal),
Fortunately, people are friendly (both tourist and local). It drive away the lonely feeling.
It's been a pleasure to talk with them, getting their local wisdom from local and life experience from another tourist.

The trip from the Harbor of Sabang to kilometer 0 is about 1 hour by car.

Kilometer zero (“Km 0”) is the northwest part in Indonesia geographic. Here you can see the small market selling souvenirs along the road heading to the kilometer zero monument. Instagramable people will love this place for sure. Facing the endless ocean view will make you appreciate the beauty of nature.

Better coming in evening. You can see sunset. I came in noontime and it was so hot! But this place has great scenery
