Roni's Tours Sumatra Tour Guide

Me and my friend wanted to cross from North to West Sumatra. Thanks to Roni's Tours we were able to reach our destination in two days. We drove past many sights along the way which was very interesting and, we also got a lot of information about Sumatra during the ride. Awesome! Roni and his colleague were extremely friendly and made sure that two long travel days went very smoothly. We recommend Roni's Tours to everyone!!

Roni was great! Sadly I only had one day free to do the tour around Bukittinggi, but still it was wonderful. I really like how he connects with the local people and supports small local communities. We have checked around both before and after arriving to Bukittinggi. No one gets even close to Roni with respect to information, knowledge, trip organizations, tours and especially attitude. Roni has been in the business for a long period of time, but his uniqueness is his capability to understand and listen to his clients and suggest to them a bespoke travel that will fit their requirements. He does not just give you a prefabricated tours like the others do. Moreover, he is very honest, knowledgeable and fun to be with. We learned so much from him in terms of history, culture, food, art architecture society and everything else related to the Minangkabau people. We had visited the places he recommended to eat (not fancy restaurants) and had superb meals. He is such a humble and unique person. Do not go anywhere else.

We did the rafflesia and the pacu jawi tour with Roni's Tours and really enjoyed it. Roni is an excellent tour guide, who really likes his job.

Roni's Tours is an allround guide. At 4pm we decided we wanted to take the bus at 5pm, but we didn't have time to pick up our luggage in our hotel and bring back our motorbikes. Roni gave us great advice about the bus ánd picked up our luggage at our hotel and brought it to the bus terminal. Excellent service!

I recommend contacting Roni, he will show you many beautiful places, he will tell you where to rent, what and where to eat, he will give you a lift to the bus :) Very friendly and helpful guide. He speaks English well. I recommend!

Nous avons passé une superbe journée avec Roni.
Tout à été très bien organisé et nous nous sommes laissé guidé tout au long de la journée.
Roni est très professionnel et sait parfaitement nous transmettre ses riches connaissances à-propos de sa région et même bien au delà. Il parle bien anglais et en plus il est très souriant et accueillant.
Tout cela fait que nous avons passé une excellente journée !
Nous ne pouvons que vous recommander Roni comme guide pour 1 journée ou bien plus. Il peut aussi vous organiser tout un séjour sur Sumatra.
De notre côté nous avions fait : visite de village et des rizières, recherche de la Raflesia dans la jungle (malheureusement pas encore éclos pour nous), dégustation de café Luwak, fabrique de sucre de canne, fabrique de bijoux en argent, vue sur le lac, vue sur le canyon.
N'hésiter pas à contacter Roni !

J'ai passé trois jours avec Roni et son équipe à découvrir la région de bukittinggi. Superbe prise en charge, ils sont aux petits soins pour nous. Nous avons visité des endroits où aucun touriste n'était présent, ce qui rend l'expérience vraiment magique et authentique. Les restaurants étaient typiques et la nourriture excellente. C'est un plaisir de parler avec Roni, il nous apprend beaucoup sur sa région et la vie de ses habitants. Merci encore!

Nous avons passé une journée entière à Bukittinggi avec Roni et Ujang (le chauffeur) et c'était vraiment superbe. Le programme a été fait sur-mesure pour nous et nous avons eu le droit à quelques surprises en cours de route. Roni et Ujang parlent très bien anglais et nous ont appris tout ce que l'on devait savoir! Nous avons été au marché, au village d'argent, voir les raflessias, les chauves souris, gouter au kopi luwak, ...
Surtout, Roni nous a aidé à organiser la suite de notre voyage et nous a donné des contacts. Grâce à lui nous avons aussi eu un cours privé de pencak silat. Je recommande à 100% de passer par Roni. Ujang nous a même déposé à Padang puis à l'aéroport quelques jours plus tard. Merci pour l'incroyable expérience !

Notre journée avec Roni fut une très belle expérience. Il a été très flexible et s'est adapté à nos envies. Nous avons pu observer la raflesia, fleur magnifique après une marche dans la jungle. L'après-midi a été consacrée à la visite du King's Palace après une pause déj, vue sur les rizières, magnifique !
Le lendemain nous souhaitions apprendre la recette du bœuf rendang (spécialité de Sumatra) et du poulet curry, il nous a emmené au marché pour acheter les produits puis avons cuisiné dans la guesthouse Canyon Jungle Stay, un vrai régal ! Enfin il nous a aidé vis à vis des transports pour rejoindre Padang. Il nous a donc bien aidé et c'est donc pourquoi nous vous le recommandons !!

Wenn ihr in Bukittingi seid, kann ich euch Roni nur empfehlen. Er kennt die Sehenswürdigkeiten und die Einheimischen. Das Beste war der Rollertrip zum Maninjau-See: Viele interessante Dinge und gutes Essen am Weg sowie eine herrliche Aussicht und eine erfrischende Abkühlung im See:)
