Swiss-Belhotel Sorong

The only medium/high standard hotel in the area, very close to both airport and embarkation port to Waisai. Use Grab to avoid rip-off from local taxi (they charge double). Comfortable rooms with safe, amenities and fridge, good wifi, quiet aircon. Restaurant inside (with few waiters) or you can opt for one of the local warungs nearby. Small pool but still swimmable, no sundeck area.

I’ve stayed at Swissbell in Sorong many times now, my boyfriend works in Raja Ampat so Swissbell is always out meeting place on the way to and from trips. The staff are always friendly, welcoming, and helpful, the food is great, room service is always available! Breakfasts are amazing! The hotel itself is just a nice place to be! Facilities are good, amazing, powerful hot showers! Airport is only 5 minutes away and it never takes more than a minute or 2 to get a taxi or airport transfer. Hotel is located a short ride from shops and supermarkets. It’s the perfect place to stay in sorong. I have been to Swissbell about 10 times now and would never stay anywhere else. I come all the way from the UK and sometimes I stay alone before a flight, after a difficult goodbye with my partner, at the end of our trip and I always feel safe and comfortable here. A very nice hotel in Sorong. A place , where divers from all over the world spend a night before boarding a boat to go to Raja Ampat. We've spent here a few nights due to a necessary change of plan. Nice rooms, great beds, a small pool and a good restaurant. We had here great time and if we come to Sorong again, we'll surely stay at Swiss Bell.

We had a great stay here! A one night before our flight the next day. The staff was nice, rooms were clean.

Nothing special about the rooms, simple amenities and beds. Perfect for a clean shower and sleep. Two bottles of water included. Good water pressure.

The pool and gym were closed, wasn’t an issue as we had been diving.

The staff was nice to us and we had what we needed for one night.

The breakfast is included which is very nice. It’s nothing special but free food is good food.

The dinner was also good, we mostly had burgers which were delicious. We really enjoyed their bread. It’s a bit pricey but to be expected.

It’s a nice place to be for a night before a flight or ferry ride the next day

During my stay at this hotel, I had a great experience. It is the only excellent hotel in town, and I particularly enjoyed the Saturday barbeque dinner, which featured a variety of fresh seafood with delectable traditional sauces and dressings. The swimming pool was also very clean, and my room was comfortable. Additionally, the staff were very responsive and provided quick assistance whenever needed.

Beautiful hotel and excellent staff. The only problem we had was there is some kind of backyard nightclub happening directly next door from 9pm to 5am, all night. The music is extremely loud, like as loud as a music festival for 250,000 people. Our entire room was shaking. The hotel staff kindly moved us to a room on the other side of the building and it was no trouble at all. Grateful for their kindness. Huge breakfast buffet.

The hotel staff was welcoming and accommodating, making sure that I had everything I needed while I was there. The breakfast buffet at the hotel is excellent, and the food is served buffet-style. I was able to unwind and stay active while staying at the hotel by using the pool and fitness facilities.

Overall, my time at the Swiss-Belhotel Sorong was wonderful, and I heartily recommend it to anyone searching for a convenient and comfortable place to stay in Sorong.

As for the room itself, it was nothing short of spectacular. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the linens were soft and luxurious. The room was spacious and well-appointed, with all the amenities that one would expect from a top-tier hotel. The view from my room was breathtaking, and I found myself staring out the window for hours on end.

Quite good for holding meetings. The staffs are friendly and readily serving guests. Although the location isn't friendly enough for outside-sorong-guests, quiet enough in the night. It's difficult to find restaurant near hotel for dinner, or even street food here. The dishes are various, but the dining room isn't spacious enough

The front desk was outstanding. When arriving on Papua I did not have any tours set up. I asked if there was anyone I could hire as a tour guide to show me around. The person I asked was Celine. She took care of everything. I had a great day touring the area. Celine is friendly and made me feel at home. A definite asset to this hotel!

It is a great four-star hotel with modern amenities and comfortable rooms. Its dining options are excellent, and the fitness center, spa, and pool are great for relaxation. Its location is convenient for exploring Sorong and nearby attractions like Raja Ampat Islands. It's a top choice for both business and leisure travelers.

This is probably the best hotel in Sorong. My friends and I stayed here for 1 night after completing our liveaboard holiday in Raja Ampat. 99% of the guests staying here are on transit, either before or after their liveaboard holidays. The rooms are clean and come with a complimentary buffet breakfast.

I stayed for two nights in this hotel when i came back very ill from a liveaboard diving trip. Bed and shower where amazing. The staff was very helpfull with my illness and the manager even allowed someone to ride along to the hospital to translate. Celine especially is amazing! Thanks 🙏 suzanne

Only improvement could be to add more vegetarian options to the menu..

Stopped here to go on a liveaboard ship. Staff is nice, it‘s clean. Food is a good blend between western and Indonesian cuisine. Just a great overall experience!

Swiss-Bel Hotel is an amazing place to stay with family. I like the vibe here. Modern contemporary with a home-like feels. Definitely will come back again.

Best business hotel in Sorong while you arrived before departing to raja ampat. Breakfast is OK, the room is clean n comfortable.

Amazing hotel. We got a free upgrade to Business suite & these are the amazing views from my room. On one end, we can see Airport runway & on other end is the Sea with amazing Sunset view.
I think this is the only best hotel in Sorong in terms of facilities and standard.
