ASTON Sorong Hotel & Conference Center

This is THE place to stay in Sorong. Great hotel. Close to the airport, not too far from the ferry. Very new, modern hotel with all of the amenities you would expect. Beautiful courtyard pool, rooftop bar/restaurant with views of the city and water. We were beyond jet lagged when we arrived at 8am. They got us a room ready early for a very reasonable fee.

Loved the Aston! It is extremely clean and comfortable, and the staff goes out of their way to be helpful and friendly. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone I know. It is walkable from the airport, but I suggest just hiring a taxi as the walk is HOT and there are no crosswalks (you must be a brave soul and cross a very busy street with all your luggage). The rooms are well-sized, clean, and comfy. Ours had 1 universal power plug which was convenient. The pool is nice, but not heated. The Aston’s breakfast is 100% worth it. The food was delicious and they had 4 types of yummy sambal to try. The photos are the view of sunset from the rooftop deck.

Maria at the front desk was incredibly helpful!! From getting our room ready before noon so we could sleep after a night traveling, to trying to find malaria medication for us, she went the extra mile on everything. Thank you Maria!!

Aston was very clean (I'm very fussy) and every staff member was so polite - especially Habib! Nothing was too much trouble and we were greeted by name. Family suite was a great size. I would certainly recommend.

One night stay, I needed help organising a local SIM card. Habib was amazing, he kept trying until the got it sorted for me and followed up the next day to make sure it works. He was very kind

Stayed a night yesterday for transit flight from Fak Fak. Super friendly service, thanks to Ms Nesta and front desk colleagues. 👍 Room is clean, and housekeeping was fast in retrieving my missed item. Fast internet, definitely a plus point. Near to airport, no hassle. Cozy and good hangout place at rooftop cafe with liveband. However, a down side is the music noise from rooftop or outside neighborhood.

Very nice experience! A special mention to Habib who patiently accompanied me to look for a battery for my dive computer around Sorong by ah hotel’s car

1. Aston Sorong is located right in front of the airport, just 5 minutes driving.
2. The building is modern, and the studi room is quite spacious and comfortable.
3. During breakfast, they have an incredible buffet with lots of menus. However, staffs need more time to clean up tables.
4. Unfortunately, swimming pool is just 100 cm depth and not spacious.

Aside from a small problem I had checking in, the hotel is great, room, food and service. Stayed here after a dive trip to Raja Ampat.

Stayed 3 nights here and pretty happy with the hotel. Room is clean, well designed, breakfast and dinner buffet are great, friendly and helpful staff.
It's bit crowded with dinner service as it's Ramadan so we prefer having dinner after they done and asked the staff to refill some food buffet.
Gym is clean and equipments works well. The Spa is good but kind of overpriced

It offers excellent rooms and great services. The staff are so friendly and I really love the swimming pool as it’s very clean and didn’t make my eyes hurt. It also has a very strategic location since it is situated at a walkable distance from the DEO Airport, which is great! The foods are tasty, especially for the bakso! It’s perfectly seasoned as well as for it’s Gulai Kambing (I stayed there during the Eid Adha). Looking forward to stay in this hotel again!

Stayed at the hotel for a business trip and had an amazing experience. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great. Room was spacious. Wifi was smooth. Hot water pressure and AC was running well. The location is in the city center and near the airport so it was very convenient. Will surely come back again next time!

We stay in Aston hotel only for a few hours but the staff were super nice and the breakfast was incredible!

We stayed here 1 night after we came back from our diving liveaboard and walked the next day with our backpacks to the airport.
