Kristian Homestay

Stayed recently (Jan 2024) and really enjoyed my stay. Good place, clean, friendly, social and fun, nice breakfast. Kristian and Sandra were so lovely. Great location too with places to eat nearby.
In every review I include at least one negative point, and here I think the shower and toilet facility was a bit basic on the ground floor.

This was an ordinary stay!
- warm and welcoming athmosphere
- scooter-rent, support for tours and transportation
- superb wifi
- cozy bedroom
- fantastic view from top floor with free coffee, tea and water
- was invited to eat with the family and it was delicious and fun :p

I booked a tour with Kristian around Bajawa and to the Inerie volcano. Great guide in English, very funny with a lot to say. I had a great time and lot of fun with him . I would definitely recommend it if you want to learn more about Bajawa and its inhabitants !

Kristian is an extremely welcoming host, very warm and friendly and his tour was very insightful. The bed was comfy, the room was simple but clean and the shower was warm. Free drinking water and coffee/tea, the price for the stay was very reasonable. If you are planning on doing the hike please make sure you are wearing proper trainers or hiking boots as the scree at the summit is extremely slippery.

They located in a narrow alley near the main road, but the homestay is very clean and well maintained. Hot water, breakfast, humble owner ⭐ no complaints

Highly recommended! Beautiful location, clean rooms, lovely owner, delicious breakfast and amazing view from the top! highly recommended if you are staying in Bajawa! they offer rooms with private bathroom and rooms with shared bathroom for low budget traveler. Coffee and Tea and Water Dispenser all day long. And for breakfast you can choose: banana pancake, toasted sandwich, Mi Goreng and you will also get a bowl with fresh fruits on the side... it's delicious! We booked 1 night and extended up to 6 nights :D

Kristian is a guy always with a smile on his face.
He organises tours, rents bikes, and will help you with any request you may have.
The rooms are clean, big towels, hot shower good WiFi, tasty breakfast and you can see Mt. Inerie. What else do you want?!

All you can expect from a true family homestay with plenty of small attentions at a best price.

Kristian and his younger sister are warm, attentive and very kind. Eight small and simple rooms with excellent bedding. Private or shared bathrooms with hot water. Unlimited tea and coffee. Hearty breakfast.

Kristian can organize (without pushing you) a trek on Mount Inerie, a scooter rental to visit the traditional villages or your departure by bus to Moni. Highly recommended. Please stay at least two nights.

The rooms are clean and you get a nice sitting area on the balcony along with free coffee, tea and water for refill! Wifi is working perfectly. The breakfast options are plenty, you have the choice between warm sandwiches, Omelett, pancake or fried noodles. Kristian his wife Maria are very friendly and helpful, always in for a chat and can provide you with all the local sights including help with organisation. He even invited us to one of his traditional family celebration!

It’s a really nice Homestay. The location is perfect. Kristian and his family really helped us during our stay. The breakfast is delicious !

Krisitan just so happened to be the best friend of our driver. After already contacting him, that reassured me that we made the right choice. Boy, I was absolutely correct! Very friendly, affordable room (150-200k), Great breakfast, helped me arrange the next leg of my journey to Rutang (spelling?), rented me a motorbike (100k) to go to the hot springs and village nearby. Overall an awesome stay, I highly recommend if you’re over-landing on Flores!

No words to describe what Maria and Kristian hospitality and kindness! They are now part of my family and thanks to them my stay in Bajawa was wonderful. Awesome breakfast, nice location, comfortable rooms, affordable price and great company. Kristian can show you around as a certified guide and Maria will cook for you the best dinners ever! The owners Maria and Kristian are lovely. Always offering advice on where to go and what to do. The breakfast is yummy. Also great to have drinking water and tea and coffee wherever you like. Room was comfortable with hot water (amazing when it’s rainy season!). Fresh air and cool and night. Great location if you’re heading to Gunung Inerie :)

The room was fine, but what makes this place amazing is Kristian and Maria. They are really friendly hosts. We took a day tour with Kristian on bikes. It was honestly one of the best tours we have done - really informative, fun and worth every last rp.

We enjoyed the time we stayed in Christians Homestay. The hosts were so friendly, helpful and funny. The breakfast was great, the best we had on our journey across Flores. On the tour we booked to the traditional village and hot springs, we stopped on the way and they showed and told us about native plants like cinnamon, coffee, cloves, tumeric, taro... Maria is a really good cook, she created a tasty dinner with the food we bought at the market. We would come again anny time.

Great place and very kind owner. The breakfast is great, you may choose from a couple of different dishes with some fruitsalad next to it. Maybe the best this is they have the best wifi I have had up till now ;)

Great homestay ! Kristian, his family and friends are all very welcoming and super nice . They know everything about the surrouding of Bajawa and will help you to plan your visits. I was supposed to stay 1 night and finally stayed 4 and then came back a week later on my way back. Definitely recommand this place !!
