Hotel Helikon

Very nice hotel. Service is great, food is excellent and the rooms are modern, well designed and very clean. I definitely recommend the hotel in all aspects, especially at the price point. There are also a lot of spa options available but i couldn't try it for myself. The hotel is located directly at the lake Balaton, which also brings stunning views.

Beautiful location, 15-20 minutes drive from Hévíz Thermal Lake. One can take a a walk along side the Balaton which is right next to the hotel. Swimming pools and sauna is very good. Highly recommend for families l. Very elaborated buffet for breakfast and dinner. Krisztian at the restaurant was very interactive and overall I found the staff very service oriented which is unlike many hotels in Europe.

We are absolutely satisfied with this hotel. Many years ago, when it was still the old hotel we were here and we like it then but we love it now. So many fine details were put in the renovation, very good service, kind and polite staff, fantastic food and well-equipped spa area. Ideal for kids too.

A surprisingly well executed refurbishing of this old commie era hotel. The rooms are neat and tidy, albeit small. What I really loved was the breakfast buffet, it was outstanding both in quality and range of dishes. It was a lovely experience to stay here, thanks :)

For almost 20 years, I worked in a prestigious catering company, where I had the opportunity to taste the best food for various important personalities in show business and politics. By that I mean that I know quality and Hotel Helikon has gold in the kitchen. The chefs cook absolutely amazing! We will definitely come back. We thank you!

The location is great. We could see the Balaton from almost any area of the hotel. The room was a bit small. Overall, the hotel was a nice experience. Nice staff, good food. The hotel was fully booked during our stay, so it got quite crowded at breakfast and dinner.
The spa area was very good and clean, and the water was warm enough for kids. It was definitely worth the trip.

Wellness is open from 8.00, but they started to clean up that time. Never try sushi in the restaurant. By the way, it is good place, we all paid for a quite good experience.

Modern design. Satisfactory breakfast and dinner buffet (thou nothing special). Pleasant staff. For a hotel of that size, it is quite nice, you don't feel like you’re in a mass-tourist location. Extra points for extremely dog friendly environment.

The bad reviews here ale clearly from before the renovation.
Hotel is new and beautiful. Spa is big and has large pool with warm water. Whirpools are spacious so you can almost always find your place there. Hungarians are kinda loud in saunas tho.
Food is tasty and the selection is big enough.
Rooms aren't huge but will do and everything is clean. Staff was nice and mostly spoke english.
I almost forgot amazing views of Balaton - from our room, from spa and restaurant.
There are just some details I didn't like ... waiters not being quick enough at dinner or the paid tea portions and no coffee at room.

Věry nice new renovated hotel, the staff is doong their best, maybe only bit slow in restaurant - during dinner we had to wait to get wine list. The sauna world is great, there is an offer of sauna ceremonials, 1 open jacuzzi, 2 warm pools. We enjoyed our stay for 100% and hope to return again this time with kids

Brand new Hotel, beautiful lakeside, fancy room, big wellness and good food. Recommended.

It was a great hotel. My father and I thought it was new, then found it in a old map we had from the 1970. Great amenities right on the Balaton and central to most everything

It is a nice hotel on the shore of Lake Balaton. It is excellent for those who want to spend a romantic holiday with a lake view.

Had to try the new hotel and it blew all my expectations.
