While travelling through south east Europe enjoying our parental leave it was most important for us to find places like koppany pines that give you the feeling of a home away from home. The well build area is just the right size for anyone who is focused on realxing and rebooting from any sort of stress. On top of that the owners Debs and Mark (and Oscar) will give you a warm welcome. We personally enjoyed our stay and the sharing of experiences a lot. Next visit we will definitely bring more time to enjoy all the facilities and experiences they have on site (tea time, pizza oven, bush crafting and so many more). Also big thanks to Debs and Mark for helping out with the bracelet 😉

We have stayed here in our motorhome several times and have always found it a very friendly and welcoming experience. The owners are extremely helpful and make the stay very relaxing and enjoyable. A lovely peaceful rural setting with beautiful local walks.
Highly recommended.

My husband and I stayed at this campsite for one night only. We wanted to have a night away from home to celebrate his birthday but didn’t want to go to the city. We love being in natural surroundings so we decided to book a night at Koppánypines. The best part for me was being able to book the bell tent, which has a very comfortable double bed, rather than us have to pitch our own tent. The bell tent is situated in a prominent position with views across the campsite. There is a covered outdoor seating area next to the tent with 2 deckchairs where you can enjoy a peaceful breakfast, as well as a separate covered toilet area. A continental breakfast is included in the price and brought up to us in the morning.
Mark and Debs are fantastic hosts who went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. They lit the BBQ for us so we were able to enjoy an al fresco birthday meal.
All in all it was a fantastic experience and i can wholeheartedly recommend a stay. The campsite is clean and very well run. I noticed that the toilets and showers are cleaned regularly throughout the day which is not something I have ever noticed on other campsites we have used. Definitely a 5 star rating from me.

We stayed here in our motorhome and for us it was paradise! If you like the countryside, nature, peace and quiet then this is a great campsite! Quirky, well laid out and very friendly, helpful owners. You can order home cooked meals, buy a cold beer, rent a bike and even join foraging classes for an extra cost. There is also an outdoor pool and lots of outdoor areas to chill and relax! We booked for two nights and stayed for a week! Couldn’t ask for more! Highly recommended!

A little idyll. Just loved my stay here as part of a group booking. It worked very well for us. The campsite is small, dog friendly and full of rustic charm and character.

There is a lovely communal area where we gathered in the shade during the day and in the evenings. You could drink from the bar here, have daily breakfasts (choices too) or eat with the hosts in the evening. I did this once and Debbie catered for my vegan diet; it was lovely. We also had a Hungarian night with authentic goulash (including a vegan one which was superb), cooked over the fire pit. Packed lunches are available on request too.

The hosts, Debbie and Mark, are a lovely, welcoming and approachable couple - it was easy to forget they were hosts such was their personable touch!

Toilets and showers were good and a very clean pool was just the thing after a walk on a hot day.

We sampled the nearby spa (such good value) and went paddle boarding/kayaking on a dog friendly beach at Lake Balaton. A fabulous experience. Several of the group went to Budapest and raved about it.

I’m not one for commercial sites and Koppany Pines ticked all the boxes for me …and more. I will be returning soon !

Excellent 5 day stop over for our 11 van/Moho group, couldn't have wished for better host than Deb and mark who bent over over backwards to make our stay as nice as possible.
The site was well kept and a nice area for drinks (cheap) and food, the swimming pool was also spotlessly clean as was the showers and toilets
It was also a very nice touch cooking in pots over an open pit fire Hungarian goulash special,
Ample nature walks to do, would recommend early morning walk to spot the deer, hares, buzzards etc.
There is an excellent thermal spa not far away, came away from there feeling really refreshed.
All in all an excellent 5 day stop over for our group, would definitely visit again

We first stayed here five years ago and is now a big improvment. Hosts debs and mark couldnt do enough for us great hosts even in our four night stay when it never seemed to stop raining lol cant wish for more cheap beer food cooked for us by debs when maz didnt want to light the cooker lol and the hearty breakfast not to be missed
Small rustic site great for a chill out with plenty walks and wildlife with not a long drive to shops and spa
We departed having three more friends than we arrived with (oscar the dog lol)

Quiet retreat with wonderful hosts. Beautiful country walks (very dog friendly), with lots of wildlife. About 20 mins easy drive to the nearest 'big' town with a market, spa, banks and supermarkets such as lidl. Excellent loos and showers, swimming pool, pizza oven, and electric hook up if needed.
The hosts, Mark and Debs, are welcoming and creating a wonderful retreat with excellent, good value meals provided if required.
Well worth the effort of getting there.

The campsite has new owners- a wonderful couple: Debs and Mark. They are one of the most helpful and friendliest people I have ever met. For me, reception is of utmost importance wherever I go- and here, it was perfect!
The site itself is just lovely! If you want a real Hungarian country feeling, rustic charm: this is the place to go!
I recommend this campsite to families, couples, groups or solo travellers- anyone who wants some peace and quiet (not counting being woken up by birds of course).
Added benefit: there is practically no light pollution (or any kind of pollution) here so be prepared to get the starriest sky you have ever seen!

We stayed here for four nights and really loved it. Hosts Debs and Mark were so welcoming and kind. You can tell they are excited to provide you with a wonderful holiday.

The campsite itself is lovely and cosy. The pool is great to cool off from the Hungarian sun. Every single meal we had here was delicious. The showers and toilets were great as well.

While staying here we visited Pecs, Tihany and the thermal at Igal.

We spent a very relaxed 3 nights at Koppany Pines, this is a highly recommended site especially if you are in the Lake Balaton area and want to avoid the commercialised sites there. Mark and Debs are very friendly hosts. We also had a full English breakfast, then a Hungarian Gulash for an evening meal. All very tasty and excellent value for money.
All produce used is either grown by them or supplied by local traders.
Cold beers are also available .

What an extraordinary & cosy place! I was lucky to begin my birthday celebration here. Grateful for such an attitude. A world would be a better place if there were more hosts like Mark & Debs. Totally recommend ❤

Fantastic weekend here with my 5yr old. Getting back to nature, walking through the woods seeing all the wildlife. The owners made us feel very welcome, and the evening around the campfire was really enjoyable. We will be back

Its a cliche but it is what it is: you arrive as a stranger and leave as a friend here. Very welcoming and warm hosts. Perfect place to go on long (and shorter) walks in a beautiful envirement with loads of wild deers (and some wild boars if you're lucky). Highly recommended!

Beautiful campsite for nature lovers. Debs&Mark take loving care of their guests.
There are no strangers here - only friends you haven't yet met.

Comfortable and friendly small site with a good pool and plenty of walking opportunities. The English owners are delighted to share their knowledge of the area. There’s a bar and food too.
