Beautiful, beautiful place. Super helpful, friendly, multi-lingual staff. GREAT room for meetings, too. My room is very large (I could easily stay here a week or two).

Beautiful place in stunning surroundings. Very friendly and attentive staff. Breakfast is very good, with only a few details that could be improved (quality of fresh fruit was not that good, bread for breakfast is not the same quality as what you get for dinner). There was a small problem with our room and it could have been dealt with better but was resolved eventually. I know I am being picky but if you go to a place like this and pay the prices you expect perfection. But I would still rate this an amazing stay and I haven't even gotten to the restaurant/dinner yet. The creativity that goes into the food is only matched by the quality of the ingredients and the service was flawless (our waiter Boris was an absolute star and made the night a very complete experience). How this place doesn't have a Michelin star yet is beyond me, they certainly deserve it. Thanks again for everything!

From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by Sasha with warmth and hospitality that set the tone for the entire stay. When I exited my vehicle he came out quickly and said do not worry about anything we will take care of it. The hotel's landscape is simply breathtaking, it's the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern luxury.
One of the standout features of San Canzian Village is its commitment to preserving the region's rich history while offering guests the utmost in contemporary comfort. Every corner of the hotel and grounds exudes an inviting ambiance, with carefully chosen furnishings and decor that pay homage to Istria's heritage.
The rooms and suites are a haven of tranquility and refinement. I was upgraded from 4 rooms to a 3-bedroom villa, and it was the best of the best experiences I have ever had at a hotel. The comfortable bed was dressed in high-quality linens, and the attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the room's décor from the soft pillows to the Smeg refrigerator. The view from my suite was spectacular, overlooking the picturesque countryside and our private pool.

Be ready for one of the best dining experiences you might have. Spectacular location overlooking lush and green hills, with Adriatic Sea on the horizon has set up the stage. We had a dinner at Luciano restaurant on a balmy late spring night and were blown away by the experience. Food was cooked with the precision, and high quality ingredients, visually plated beautifully. Flavours were amazing,with dessert made with star anise,carrots and orange gel perfect way to finish the meal. What was even better than food was our host Benjamin. An absolute star!!! Kind,knowledgeable, passionate about his craft,always here to explain and share his recommendations in a very elegant way.

I got married at San Canzian in October 2022 with 40 of my friends and family present. We reserved the entire property. From the moment we booked - to the day we left, the entire staff was exceptional. Every detail is thought out and curated with the guest in mind. It is truly a sanctuary of peace, class, luxury and top notch service. The location is perfect. The bedding and quality of all the linens is 10/10. And the food is out of a fairytale. Do yourself a favor and visit this place once in your life.

Wow, what a spectacular place! Staff was incredible. Accommodations were top notch. Food was among the best we had in Croatia (we had breakfast and dinner/wine). Views (especially from the pool) we’re gorgeous. Check out this gem!!

Hello, first of all, the place is extremely beautiful. The services are high class and the food is just perfect.
The welcome was warm and kind made by Sasha, we had an early booking without asking this in advance, they even carried our luggages to the room. The terrace and the view is amazing and you have a lot of intimacy, surrounded by a lot of aromatic plants. The sauna and the wellness place is clean and you can use all the services. The restaurant is a top one with great services also. The entire experience was great and the only thing we can complain were the huge insects that somehow managed to enter in our room, but that's a eco friendly resort so that's it. I definitely recommend it.

Food in restaurant is magnificent. We had a 6 course tasting menu, everything on the plate has it's own unique story and it's prepared with a lot of knowledge. All praises to the chefs. Staff is very kind and helpful. Wine list is very rich. Location and the view are also beautiful. I fully recomend visit to this restaurant, we had a great time.

We had a fabulous stay -- we actually stayed at the Residence Groznjan, a private house in a medieval village with full access to the hotel and it's amenities. The setting of the main hotel is spectacular with a swoon worthy pool area and beautiful views. We had 2 fantastic meals in the restaurant -- I am still dreaming about the polenta and truffles 2 weeks later!!! They were also incredibly accommodating of my dietary needs, tailoring the meals so I could eat almost anything on the menu, a rare experience indeed. The residence is an incredibly special property, charming and beautifully restored. We were able to cook a meal with local ingredients and dine on a lit terrace like it was our own house (I wish!). They brought us breakfast every morning and drove us back and forth to the hotel as needed. They also arranged for mountain bike rentals fo us, delivered to the house, so we could enjoy La Parenzana. This is all indicative of an unparalleled level of service provided by warm and friendly staff. We would stay here again and again!

For me, this is absolutely the best hotel in Croatia. They have thought about every single details. The staff is wonderful, rooms spacious (we stayed in executive), the village is so quite and peaceful, food is marvelous, selection of wines great. It is pricey, but when you get there you see what you payed for. I hope to visit again and I hope I will stay as delighted as this time.

This review is for Luciano, the restaurant at San Canzian Hotel. A real gem in the Istrian hills. We loved our first Luciano experience so much, we joined them for dinner three nights in a row. We had almost everything on the menu. The dishes were well-executed, consistent, creative and thoughtful to the region. We had a wine pairing and additional regional wines by the glass - all interesting and well paired. Some of the best wine and cuisine we tasted during our visit to the region.

The whole team was awesome - from the moment we entered the restaurant everyone was professional and at ease - just go, relax, and enjoy your meal.

We stayed with the San Canzian at their residence in Groznjan for our honeymoon and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The staff is wonderful and friendly, the views from the village are gorgeous, the restaurant was AMAZING - some of the best food we had in our time in Croatia. We can’t wait to return again someday!

Apsolutely amazing experience. Very nice rooms, nice breakfast, great facilities and spectacular view and overall experience. SPA isn’t big but it’s really top with warm pool next to the sauna. Service is great. All staff members are nice and helpful, waiters are great and especially Mr. Samir.
All together an amazing experience, everything was great and we’ll definitively come back soon.

This Hotel is magnificent!
From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalties! I am not exaggerating!
If you are looking for peace, beauty, impeccable service and unbelievable food, this is your hotel!
Parking is located 200 m from the hotel but a small car comes to pick you up the moment you turn to the hotel’s grounds. We were greeted with a refreshing drink and check in was very fast. Ekaterina was very professional and knowledgeable, she kindly offered us upgrade to a villa.
The hotel’s territory is not too big but very well maintained. There are a lot of different trees everywhere and not a lot of mosquitoes. The air there is very clean and filled with sweetness of the trees! There are not a lot of stairs as were mentioned in previously reviews, just enough to keep you fit)
Our villa was just fantastic. The view was breathtaking. It had two floors, a pool and a huge terrace with garden. There was enough space for a family of 4. It had a fireplace, 2 toilets but one shower. It also had a kettle, free tea and coffee, and nice amenities. The bed was very comfortable and the towels were white and new. The villa was very clean and the housekeeping was doing amazing job every day. I loved little fig cookies that they placed near the pillows at night) If you are looking for extra privacy than this villa is worth every penny!
The restaurant deserves 10 stars. It is as good as everyone writes. The food is high quality and the taste is difficult to describe-must try!!!
Breakfast was a la card because of COVID but you can order anything you want, in any amount. I think it’s much better this way, no food is wasted and food is super fresh!
We only stayed 3 nights and I already dream to come to San Canzian again!

Very small village, hamlet really converted to a boutique hotel. The setting is amazing, the views are stretching all the way to the sea and Buje.
Although amazing at any time of the day, sunsets from the terrace are pretty special.
You can just pop in for a drink, they offer specialty coffee from a small roastery. There is also restaurant and the staff are really friendly.
