We spent some of our time in Croatia exploring these old Spomeniks. This one in particular was on our 'must visit' list. Beware, our vehicle GPS did not take us the most direct route, if you are travelling here carefully check the address before starting. The monument has a handy carpark adjacent the processional entry. The effect of the gate, processional path, and monument is powerful, with the green hills in the background adding to the effect. I think Croatia does it's revolutionary monuments very well. However, overall site is run down and needing restoration, a project which I believe would be well worth pursuing. In years to come Croatia's Spomeniks will be important tourist destinations.

Really outstanding monument built in the 70s to commemorate the national liberation war (ww2). It's in pretty good shape, just some graffiti. It's about 1 hour from Zagreb. Space for parking on site. Looks like it's not really in use anymore. However it sits atop a hill overlooking the village and lake. It's definitely one of the best monuments to see in ex-Yugoslavia. Highly recommend a visit if you're into this stuff. Accurate location using Google Maps.

One of the most unique monuments from former Yugoslavia. The monument is at the top a hill, giving a beautiful view to the village. It also commemorates the fight and struggle to save the world from Nazism. The monument could be better maintained and it is definitely worth a visit.

I'm shocked that there's so little people who visit the monument. It's a short 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes drive to a little town east of Zagreb. Wonderful design, beautiful walkway and breathtaking view of the new nearby Villa Grac lake and area.

If you have the time, highly recommended to visit and enjoy a few hours out there, can also grab a drink or lunch at Villa Grac down the road.

One of the famous Yugoslavian monuments, probably the prettiest. It is not in a great condition, and sadly it has been vandalized. Still it is a magnificent piece of art and a testament of recent history. Check it out, its free

Hidden and forgotten monument built in former Yugoslavia after the WWII. It is one of the many scattered along the ex-yu. Really impressive. In my opinion worth seeing and visiting.

The World War II memorial sculpture dedicated to the people of Moslavina during World War II seems abandoned and neglected, in the middle of nowhere it rises proud and alone, awesome tribute.

There is only one way to describe this monument and that is WOW!
First of all it's such a calm little place over a local village, when you drive on the lower road and you gaze upon a monument you just stay speechless. Brutalistic build, a huge chunk of concrete just standing there in the haze. You can see that this monument has been abandoned and is not being taken care of but at least the entry way is clean and the grass is being cut. The monument itself is so strange and interesting, and looks huge when you finally come up to it.

Magnificent monument in a beautiful surrounding. I was there on a picture perfect day. It would be nice to be able to get here with public transport from Zagreb, but maybe it was because of public holiday, either way, it was worth it to make my way here and visit.

Astonishing monument perfectly fit into bucolic landscape. Tip for travelers — spend a night in the small and inexpensive Villa Garic hotel right at the lake nearby to enjoy best time to admire the monument which are sunset and sunrise hours.

Great monument. You got to see it live. Pictures can't replace the real beauty. It is just magnificant. You feel so small under it. Accessible by car. Parking in right there.

It is a remarkable piece of art on the hillside. It is absolutely worth the trip to come out here and enjoy this brutalist monument.

Amazing monument up on a hill, only reachable by car. Completely deserted when we were there. Worth a side trip if you are in the area.

Awesome and imposing, but before heading here please be advised that D26 road coming from north is a maintained woodland gravel road for 15km, choose other routes if you can cuz’ rocks be flyin’ everywhere, locals drive rally-like cuz not many ppl take that road

Amazing monument located on top of the hill, overlooking a lake and forests. Road leading to Popovača is in bad state, also, don't count on Internet signal up here.

Glorious. The sunset view from the top of the hill was very scenic in late summer.
