Fabulous meal in a lovely traditional restaurant. The slow cooked veal was the best I've ever eaten.

Hearty portions of very good authentic food in a variety of nice rustic spaces. Big portions at very reasonable prices. The menu is pretty substantial and offers quite a variety of choices. Inside areas are air conditioned for convenience. All around very nice experience and worth a trip from Zagreb into the countryside.

Great place to have some homemade, unpretentious food of local origin. This is a good place to organize a family celebration like birthdays.

An amazing place to rest the soul. Rustic ambience, with a corner for adults and children. The lake, domestic animals, local food, peace and greenery. A family restaurant that should be visited.

I visited Stara Presa over a week ago and it left a very positive impression, from a family run business that has been hosting guests for years. Full of energy, and full of life, great ambience and amazingly helpful staff. If you also have children (it is family friendly), then will love all the little ducklings and the cute little donkey that is part of the institution.

The restaurant has a fantastic location as it is only 5mins from Slovenia and little less than 40mins drive from the Centre of Zagreb, if you are in Croatia. So, if you find yourself nearby, then give the restaurant a go!

When I arrived with my Croatian colleague, we were invited in and seated at a private section of the restaurant as we requested somewhere where it was a bit quieter. With so much choice to order, I had to let the host recommend a selection, which is typical for Zagorije region, and I wasn't to be disappointed.

With a full 3 course meal, a coffee and a few drinks it is great value for tourists like me coming from the United Kingdom. But I am sure it will also attract guests from Austria, Italy, Germany and Sweden, as it meets those standards.

I hope you find this review useful. Will definitely host my meetings here next time I am in Croatia on Business or if I am purely visiting friends for my vacation.

We had our Grandfathers 94th birthday here and it was great. Food was amazing. Fantastic staff and atmosphere. Very well priced. Great spot for a group or family event.
