Lovely hotel. Really nice touches of pillow menu, chocolates when you are leaving left in room, and attentive reception staff. The roof pool was really pleasant although a little cold Great cocktails and really good prices for food and drinks.

We absolutely loved it, from the moment we walked in, we got a warm, friendly welcome. All staff were exceptional at what they did. Nothing was too much trouble. The reception staff were extremely helpful when we asked them anything. They guided us in the right direction. Perfect place perfect. Picturesque stunning surroundings. Highly recommend

Superb hotel with amazing staff, nothing is too much trouble.
We had a great room on 11th floor with fabulous views, we had been upgraded, lovely surprise.
We had great rapport with bar staff especially Petra, Sania, Luca and Antonio, all staff are super. Reception staff so helpful, we booked our trips via them and had a great time. We also had a problem back at home and they put us onto a secure Wi-Fi to sort things out, so grateful.
Buffet food was plentiful and varied, desserts so good, staff great.
Thank you for a wonderful two weeks, congratulations on all your amazing staff.

By far the best hotel we've ever stayed in. Everything about this place is fantastic but the one thing that allows it to stand head and shoulders above the rest is the superb hotel staff, and I mean every one of them. They are a credit to Plaza Duce.
We absolutely loved it here and can't wait to return.

HONEST REVIEW & GUIDE TO STAYING IN HOTEL PLAZA DUCE!

Having come back 3 days ago from visiting here, here’s my personal experience and hopefully a helpful insight into Hotel Plaza Duce for anyone wanting to go.

First off, the transfer is a 40 minute bus ride from Split airport, not terrible, but the drivers (especially on motorbikes) are maniacs so be prepared for that.

We arrived on a Sunday, unfortunately by the time we got to the hotel, dinner had finished and nearby bars were closed, so we had to ask if we could get anything. This was probably one of the only bad moments staying there, we were told to go up to restaurant and select from 1 of 4 sandwiches available, there we found another Scottish couple in the same predicament. We waited 30 minutes for 2 sandwiches, in the meantime this strange quiet German couple came up after us, and were served a huge platter of food before us, even though only sandwiches were available? Strange, sandwiches were nice though but if you’re arriving on a Sunday, bring food. Also, dinner in the restaurant is €32 each person for the buffet, so I’d highly recommend walking 10 mins down the road to Shooko Beach Bar (I’ll be leaving a very good review there, the place is a god send).

The hotel is built like a staircase, it goes up 5 floors, goes back, then up another 5 floors and the same again. The first elevator takes you to either the Wellness Centre on floor 5, or floor 6 to the pool bar and outside pool area, from there you need to walk up a set of stairs to rooms on the 6th floor or any higher up, you need an elevator again. Restaurant is 1 floor above reception.

Wellness centre is great, you’re given a card which you hand to someone who gives you towels, after you’re done, give the towels back and you get your card back. Saunas, jacuzzi and indoor pools are great. Outdoor pool is very cold, although I can’t swim so idk if that’s normal but still.

Rooms are amazing, big beds, TV has 96 channels but a lot of freeview stuff, nothing special. To cast from your phone, you need to connect to the TV Wi-Fi which will be: TV-(room number) and select source on the TV remote and switch to Bluetooth casting. That’s how we watched Netflix and stuff. Rooms have a toilet, 2 sinks, 3 towels each, a bath with a shower and a single huge waterfall shower, the cleaners go around during breakfast time (7-10:30). Balconies are great with sun beds, just lots of ants and the odd spider to watch out for.

Ordering drinks, they’ll ask for you room number and a signature every single time, a bit pernickety and does add up, we tried to keep track of our bill and it ended up being double on check out, with a tourist tax fee added. Pain.

Bus stops are nearby outside (at hotel nestos). To split or omis, it’s €1.50 each way. Download the Promet Split app and select a single ticket from Dugi Rat to Split or Omis and scan it on the bus. Easy peasy. Busses are every 30 mins.

Not much else to add, hopefully this helps, the place was unreal though, we’d definitely go back in a heartbeat!

Wow! Stayed here with my partner, Duce itself is a beautiful location. However, the hotel from start to finish was truly a wonderful experience.
We arrived early, and they accommodated us to check in straight away, bonus! Got up to the room, and it was beautiful, clean, and had everything you could need, a big beautiful bathroom with double sinks, a walk-in shower, and a bath! Toiletries, robes, and slippers.
Tea and coffee, mini bar. Beautiful sea and pool view. Extremely comfortable and well kept daily, towels changed, cleaned daily even on our last day.
The staff couldn't do enough. The reception team are a credit to your establishment. They helped us book a late checkout and extended right up until our collection time. We booked a trip through Easy jet that was cancelled that morning. The reception team immediately helped rebook this trip through them and an additional one! Win! Quick, easy, and efficient. The SPA 😍 We had medditeranean massages and my oh my, BLISS.
We were full board, while breakfast buffet was delicious, lunch was in the pool bar and equisite, the dinner buffet was poor and tepid at best, so we opted to pay additional to eat in the pool bar, the food in the pool bar was AMAZING, worth every penny, the hotel even gave us a discount.
Nothing was too much trouble, it was definitely 4* and somewhere I'd definitely recommend staying without hesitation and I'd return in a heartbeat.

A perfect start to our holiday! Begining with the initial welcome by Ana, which set the tone of excellent service to the final breakfast our stay was top notch. The staff are all welcoming and well trained and the attention to detail throuhgout the hotel is clearly evident. We were spoiled by the relaxing spa & the pools (which were neeed after our climb to the fortress!) The room was stylish and well appointed with a luxuirious king bed. Omis Stari Grad was a short drive and restaurants are within walking distance too. Take the upgrade to a deluxe ocean view for a stunning view of the sea and Omis!

This is a slightly delayed review as we stayed here in the Summer and what a stay it was.
Firstly the hotel is located in a perfect location it's a short walk outside of the lovely Omis and the walk is along a beach promenade with loads of resreraunt and drink places and also a short journey to split which is nice but I'd much rather be in Omis for my holiday
Now the entrance and greetings were brilliant and extremely friendly and we were on the top floor which is up a few different lifts but worth the short walk.
On entry the room was huge with everything and anything you need, it had a coffee machine drinks and welcome information.
The room itself is decorated beautifully with a huge bathroom with great shower and a very comfortable bed then it comes to the balcony which was on the corner and gave amazing views of the sea and the land with 2 huge sunbeds honestly go for the top floor rooms and pat the small amount extra it is worth it.
Breakfast is served in the resreraunt and was a nice selection of tasty food just what you needed. The pool area is big with a really nice pool and seating area which at night turns into entertainment with drinks and we had some nice singers most nights which differ from the usual nonsense you get at Hotels.
The gym is compact but has what you need and then we come to the spa.
The spa pool is huge and a great temperature with plenty of space although and never gets to busy. The sauna we tried both and preferred the old fashion sauna again perfect and the steam was great aswell just a lovely way to finish the day.
We had some ice cream and coffee and various different drinks around the pool which was all of a very good quality.
It really is a great hotel with everything and so much more and we ended up booking extra nights just because we enjoyed it so much you really can't go wrong here and yes it's a lovely hotel but the service even exceeds how nice the hotel is which takes alot to do.

An absolutely perfect place to stay with the most incredible views from our very modern, well equipped and beautifully presented room.

It felt like more of a temporary home than a hotel! All the staff were extremely friendly, great communicators and more than happy to help.

We were greeted warmly by reception and given all the necessary information in relation to the incredible breakfast and location of all facilities.

The hotel is simply stunning, takes a while to figure out the layout but even the walk through the hotel is filled with relaxing music and smells and incredible views when possible.

The gym, spa and wellness centre, breakfast, reception and linked beach area were all very well thought out and made the whole experience very relaxed and easy.

We stayed on floor 11 and the coffee machine, shampoos, complimentary beach towels and robes to use throughout our stay made it very difficult to want to leave the hotel!

The pool area was very well equipped for hot parts of the day and the relay system to order food and drinks worked very well.

The breakfast had a great range to choose from and very generous hours to be open from.

The restaurant was relaxed with another nice range of cheap and easy meals to more elegant and premium choices when you wanted a ‘bigger’ night out. We continually found ourselves in the evenings sat on the restaurant balcony evening the night sky.

Excellent value and couldn’t imagine what more they could offer to be a 5-star hotel. If your looking at booking and think the pictures look great just wait until you get there!

Not a whole lot to do around the hotel but lots of excursions and nearby towns to visit and we found the local bus service to be very easy to get to and from Split.

Can certainly see ourselves returning, thank you for a glorious reading stay 😃

We had the perfect stay here. The rooms were comfortable, quiet and stylish. The pool and spa areas were always kept immaculate, as were all other common areas. We enjoyed the varied buffet for dinner, with the desserts in particular being very high quality. The staff were very friendly, and I heard that the hotel owner looks after them well which says a lot about a business. We would 100% recommend, don't let the 4* star rating put you off, it's definitely in the 5* category.

P.s. if travelling into Split, we'd suggest taking the 60 bus in the morning then getting the hotel to arrange a taxi back. Also the hotel offer tours via a 3rd party which were enjoyable.

This place is lush! We were only on the 1st floor but our room overlooked the sea from our very spacious balcony.
The room itself was very luxurious. Card entry for the door activated the curtains upon entering your room. Double sinks and double showers.
The pool is a rooftop pool, overlooking the sea with plenty of loungers. The sun hits the pool throughout the whole day. There's also an indoor pool, with 2 saunas and a steam room.
In addition, there is a private beach for the hotel over the road with another bar and loungers. Hammocks in the sea to chill out in.
The staff are really nice and friendly, very accommodating.
Would highly recommend!

Really nice hotel with v obliging staff. Rooms have excellent views over the ocean. Indoor and outdoor pools with saunas etc.
Easy walk to Omis (about half hour) which has lots of cafes and historic streets.
Trip to Split cost just €2.00 per person each way when booked on app (Promet) taking about 40 mins to get there.
Good spot for sight seeing but quiet at this time of year with most of the beach businesses closed for the winter.

We’ve just returned from a week at the most relaxing, beautiful hotel! The staff are so friendly and helpful, the rooms are immaculate and cleaned daily, fresh beds, towels, all you need! The views are breathtaking from the balcony and the food and cocktails did not disappoint 🍹🥳 a bus ride away from Split but with the journey along the coastline we couldn’t fault a thing! Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning! Thank you to all the staff for an amazing week!

Although a little outside of Split, the hotel is well connected by bus and the stuff are happy and efficient to organise transfer even for parents with kids who like us didn't have a child seat with them. The service was outstanding, every staff member smiled and was kind and remembered our first names, even that of our son. The rooms are beautiful and as far as we could see all offer a full sea view. The pool bar does fabulous cocktails and lunches and the ice cream was a personal hit. Indoor and outdoor swimming facilities also for smallies and great morning and evening buffets. The latter changes every night, but we personally enjoyed Wednesday best, where they had goulash. I had a massage in the spa and even though I had an awful cold, the staff was amazing and even offered remedies for my cold. Honestly, I can go on and on about this beautiful place. After all we were there for a week of nearly just rain with little to do but to take advantage of all this place had to offer. Thank you.

Fantastic ultra modern hotel with superb facilities. The staff were amazing. The buffet breakfast was excellent, but I found the a la cart menu limited. The only downside to the hotel is that there are no local pubs or restaurants, so it's either a bus ride or taxi to Omis. The buses stop near the hotel and were regular and cheap.

Beautiful location, amazing hotel - all the staff were friendly and helpful and treated us like royalty. We had an amazing stay - Omis is 5 min drive away or split is 30 mins. Amazing taxi service too.
The rooms are gorgeous, spacious and very luxury! The location is beautiful but you do have to get taxi’s to get to places, but the taxi service is fab in the hotel! 10/10 recommend!

Such an amazing hotel with staff to match. Rooms are large and are all facing the sea. Bathrooms to die for with both bath and separate shower. Pool area out of this world and they also have indoor pool and jacuzzi and luxurious spa. The food here is absolutely amazing whoever the chef is hats off to you. They have beach service with all you need across the road, so peaceful with fantastic views. This hotel is one you will definitely return too...
