Hotel Istra

During my stay at Hotel Istra in Opatija, I was captivated by its blend of historic charm and modern comfort. My room offered breathtaking views of the Adriatic, and the dining experience was exceptional, featuring delicious local cuisine. The staff's warm hospitality made me feel truly welcome. Strolling along the seaside promenade and relaxing by the sea were highlights of my visit. It was an unforgettable and serene getaway. Must go!

We stayed there already two times and most probable will be back again. It is cute small convenient hotel on a great location above the sea, with great team running it, very friendly and willing to help staff and unexpectedly good activities offer almost every day! I love the warm sea water in the pool, and some exercises we did with Ana, extremely good and self-motivated fitness trainer, and some of them we will never forget (like pool biking). I also love, and for this I will be back, is the view on the sun and sea oriented Terrasse where we enjoyed our coffee each morning after good breakfast. Also the restaurant offers such a healing view that increases the joy during breakfast if you choose to sit next to the big windows, that could be also opened. The whole ambient of the hotel is friendly, inviting, open, clean, sunny, and combined with nice voices of the selected nice guests and caring friendly staff, it makes that feeling like at home. Even the parking issue is solved easier with them! So congratulations to all of them from Liburnia team and recommendation for potential guests.

Came for a conference, stayed at Istra and was having a great time. Very professional and polite staff, nice restaurant and clean and cozy rooms.

The problem was ,there was not parking lot .
And we should pay 20 euro per day .

I had good time and im very happy to stay here very good service hotel have sports activits ana is amaizing we love it had nice smowey walk and qi gong good experience...good value for money...food is great and all saff nice....

Very nice hotel with great price and unbelievable breakfast and dinner buffet.
The staff is very friendly and gym animator Ana is so pleasant. I reccomend the experience, but try to get the room in the newer part of hotel.

A very good hotel, i am very positively impressed by a beautiful view of the Adria. Every guest can have a lot of different dishes on their taste which are really delicious. The staff are friendly and ready to help you. The water in the indoor pool pleasantly warm, even
aquaairobics was at our disposal. The fitness trainer Ana is super professional at her job, she had a yoga class with me at the seaside in April sunlight, it was unique.
I recommend this hotel if you travel to Opatija

I just ended my stay at Istra hotel in Opatija and had a wonderful experience. The hotel itself was fantastic and we had a very comfortable stay. But what really stood out was the exceptional service provided by Alex, the receptionist. He went above and beyond to assist us with anything we needed and his kindness made us feel truly welcomed.

In a good location, properly maintained, clean and more sophisticated than average with relatively small room. It is an average buffet restaurant, well organized. The hotel's beach is clean and close by. For those arriving by car, the parking lot is not part of the hotel. It is best to use the local parking application.

Good hotel, great sea view , quiet n comfy with air -con too. Right by the boulevard .
Fantastic tasty food eat all you can for breakfast n dinner inc drinks, wines & beers etc . Kitchen chefs & staff super 👍

The hotel Istra is located on the beautiful Opatija riviera right next to the promenade. It is beautiful all year round because of the beautiful plant life and the sea surrounding it. The staff is nice and they organize health related activities every day. The lady in charge of the activities is very friendly and motivated. You might even make friends with the seagulls on the balcony. The food is tasty and I think everyone can find something they like.

We are a group of 60 Chinese mature people travelling together from London. Beautiful scenery from the hotel. The reception staff are extremely helpful. Thank you to Lorena, Alex and Mislav , always showing their friendly attitude towards us, the elderly people.
Our group also liked to say thank you to attentive service of the restaurant staff , Milena, Ninoslav and Hrvoje. Big thank for the great hospitality.

If you are looking for expensive place to stay, skip this hotel - surrounding is full of pricy places that can offer you less or the same value as this one!
Nicely located, on the sea side, this cocktail of 19 century Austrian vacation place and early 20 century cosiness gives you sufficiently sized room for 5day stay next to Lungo mare with the food as good as in 4* neighboirs. After reaching sufficient walking mileage, there is even a small pool to recover.
All this with really great and polite service. The waiter who really nocked our breakfasts and dinners had Filip label on his chest!
I will definitely come back and hope that nothing will change!

About the surprise yoga lesson:
This one morning we had a beautiful surprise in the hotel swimming pool where yoga instructor Ana organised a very nice lesson on the water platforms. It was amusing and sweet and very well done and Anna‘s personality made everything very nice and fun. Highly recommended.

We spent a wonderfull week in the hotel. Good food, kind staff, nice view.
Special thanks for Alexander, the most cute technikal worker, who can solve all problems in five minutes!😉

Great hotel in Opatija, with very kind and helpful people. They changed our room when we idicated that it is too noisy to a sea view one. There is a qood quality of food and live music despite it is a stars. They also offer private sport possibilites as sup yoga and smoway walk which is quite unic compared to other hotels.
Ps.: we only missed the park place of the hotel, but in Opatia everybody struggles with this problem.

Nice smal hotel located directly at beautiful Adriatic sea, offeres spaceous rooms and gives the guests unforgetable sea view - directly from the bed. The best decision was taking organized activities (AquaFit, Nordic walk,..) with Ana. Her magic energy socialize guests and offers more…We will come back!

The hotel is beautiful and very clean. The staff are very friendly. The location is good and by the sea. If you stay in the see side room you will have very beautiful view of the sea and the Rijeka in the back.
