Amazing food, amazing views, amazing service. We had the truffle ravioli, goulash, steaks, prosciutto in wine and it was incredible. Up a mad hill so probably drive otherwise you’ll really be earning your meal. Wait staff super friendly and full of local knowledge to share.

I had an incredible experience at this restaurant! The 700-meter trek up the steep hillside was totally worth it. We received a warm welcome, despite not having a reservation. Thankfully, we arrived just before the evening rush and managed to secure a table. The wild mushroom soup was divine, and the homemade apple juice was a refreshing treat. The view from the restaurant was breathtaking. The freshly-made salad, drizzled with their own fig vinegar and olive oil, was a delight. One of us enjoyed a perfectly cooked medium-rare rump steak with crispy fries, while the other savored a beautifully seared sea bream served with a side of Swiss chard potatoes. The owner's commitment to sustainability was impressive; they even use their own homegrown ingredients. Don't expect Coca-Cola here—enjoy their delicious fruit juices instead. The meal ended with complimentary herbal bitters and a fantastic cherry liqueur. We couldn't resist taking home some of their products, including fig vinegar, tomato vinegar, and a jar of chestnut cream. The delightful highlight was the charming little girl who served our salad with a bright smile while gliding in on a light-up hoverboard. We loved the experience, the friendly service, and the wonderful atmosphere.

OMG spectacular food in a spectacular setting. From the cold seafood started to bear gnocchi to the great dessert this was a fantastic experience. The host was delightful and helpful and provided great service. The food and wine were amazing. I'm so grateful to my friend who suggested this place.

Highly recommend this family-run restaurant with a beautiful panoramic view to the sea. The staff is very kind and helpful with the menu. Food is very good - we tried home made pasta with truffle, squids, and cold fish salad. The fig and truffle desert is amazing too! Prices are very reasonable.

Restaurant for skilled drivers only - the road up this wonderful establishment is steep, but worth your clutch-work. The restaurant is a summer-season only, 3 generation family business with award winning home-made products (try fig balsamic!). The dishes we tried were all made of fresh, local ingredients and simple, authentic dishes from the region, some with a brave twist (yum that truffel-fig icecream!). The staff is very friendly, helping and caring - the prices are reasonable for such quality, def. will return!

Tasty food (we chose a variety of dishes and all of them vere cooked/seasoned to perfection). Dishes that include fish or seafood were fresh (the owner came to our table with a plate of fresh fish and seefood to chose from). The beer tasted great as well (Zlatý Medvěd) and so did the wine (we had house red, but it is not something to drink for a whole night, since it was a bit on the heavier side taste wise).

The owner himself was very welcoming.

I will end this review with 9.5/10, will come again (the owner recommended bear steak, so we might try that).

The track to the restaurant itself is pretty steep, so keep that in mind.

Absolutely must visit if you are around. Breath-taking view, great food and amazing service. It's rather high up but the restaurant worth your effort.

First of all the food that we had there was very delicious. Since long time we didn’t eat such delicious grilled fish. Second it is a family owned restaurant and you can feel the warmth right after you anter the restaurant. Everyone was very friendly and talkative. They have their own homemade products such as balsamic vinegar and olive oil which are also very delicious.
Last but not least the view of the restaurant is also amazing.

This was our second time dining at Konoba Kali and just like the first time the experience was excellent. While one could argue that the food is expensive, it is important to comprehend that everything this restaurant offers, right down to the beer we drank comes from the surrounding areas and is therefore local.
The food there is delicious, and the portions are more than sufficient, which not many restaurants in this price category can claim these days. Even after the kitchen was closed, we were generously offered dessert which we reluctantly had to decline since we were already completely full.
Additionally, we need to emphasize the hospitality of the owners for really taking their time not only during our order when we had questions concerning the food, but also after closing time, when we had some interesting talks about Formula 1 and racing in general.
In conclusion it was a memorable evening, and we will for sure come back next year!

We loved this restaurant! The staff was incredibly friendly and spoke perfect English. They recommended some local dishes from the area that we loved. The long hike was definitely worth the delicious homemade food and beautiful view!

The view, the food and the staff is amazing. We went there twice and had great pasta and fresh fish. You can buy their self made fig products that are a great souvenir for home. The hike up the hill is a challenge, but the view, the food and people are all worth it. Best place in town!

Have you ever tried a bear? You will be left speechless! In the end try their dessert with their fig ice cream, the taste you have never tasted before.

A phenomenal experience. The food, drinks, and service were all exceptional. The staff were very friendly and answered any questions we had, and the views of the sea are stunning. I highly recommend a visit to Konoba Kali

If you're looking for place that doesn't serve classical food this might be a good place to visit. It's not only a restaurant, it is a time machine that transport you in different period where food was made with only local groceries, and there is no Coca Cola or pancakes for desert. If you are family oriented and your kids like chicken nuggets and pizza, you will probably not be thrilled. But if are someone who likes to explore genuine food based on recepies of locals you might have found your next favourite restaurant. Very polite and open-hearted host Ante will share with you stories that you will never have chance to hear anywhere else. It is a story about Medveja, Istria and history of Croatian cuisine that will help you to understand better locals and its gastronomy.
I can talk about stuff we ate, but it will probably not be relevant to you as it is season based menu and groceries are fresh.

It is a very nice restaurant with fantastic view, but the best thing about it is food. It was perfect, totally unlike 99% of restaurants on croatian coast, authentic, homemade and fresh. Their homemade edelflower juice is also very good. We will definitely come back one day...

I was there with my wife for lunch on our vacation and our experience was amazing the food and staff was great. The bear meat there was so soft and delicious and also dessert was more than great. This restaurant is definitely great decision. We would like to visit it again.
